CHOP Gift Recommendations for Nephew

I found out yesterday that my nephew is in Children's Hosiptal of Philadelphia. They found out yesterday that he has type 1 diabetes and he'll be in the hospital until at least Sunday.

I want to send him something that will appeal to a kid that isn't candy. Does anyone have any recommendations for a basket shop that is nearby and can deliver to his room? BTW, he is 6 years old.

I don't know how much you're looking to spend, and I'm not 100% sure they could get there in time, but I've sent Vermont Teddy Bears to people in hospitals before, and they're always a big hit.

I think they come with candy, but you could ask for that to be left off.

Found out that he's still in ICU. His sugar level is down, but his ketones (sp?) still aren't right. They'll move him to a regular room tonight. My brother said that they have playstations in the rooms. If my brother confirms that they also have one at home, I may send him a game with my parents.

So sorry to hear about your nephew. Yesterday I was at Boscovs anf they had the cutest stuffed bears for 10.00 and the proceeds go to CHOP.
