Choosing All Star Sports

I've enjoyed reading what other people think about the Allstar Sports. My DH and I will be staying there 8/30/07 thru 9/8/07 and I am really excited. We will be celebrating our 1 year anniversary. I believe we are staying in the football area. Does anyone have any pictures they could share of the rooms, pools, etc...

Correct me if I'm wrong but doesnt the bus only stop at the other AS resorts if it isnt full? Like during the first few trips in the morning, if they fill up at Sports, they just head to the park, no?

I would say this is true. I have stayed at all the All Stars and have hardly ever shared buses. Several years we went during Easter so it was very busy. Last year we stayed at ASMO in August during Free Dining. We never shared a bus. It always came empty and we loaded up. We have never shared in the morning or at night. Only during the day if returning when the bus was not full.

I have stayed at AS Sports and AS Movies, and while I love the AS's, I would NOT go back to AS Sports. I didn't like it, it didn't seem... clean, it seemed run down and kind of dingy. I did, however, LOVE movies, and would highly reccommend it!

Did you get one of the refurbished rooms??

Are they doing renovations? In talking to Disney Reservations, they had nothing indicating such other than the pool work later this summer. Just curious. Less than a month until I stay there for 5 nights with my boyfriend (his first trip ). I would have preferred Movies but I took what I could get with the pin code (yes, I got one!!)!! Neither one of us are big sports people - he hates baseball with a passion

I also thought I read that Sports would be renovated similar to Music earlier this year. I thought the time frame for start date was this summer. My DS is interested in the Sports resort and I have been putting that one off. But maybe our next trip in 2009. I will be more up to it if Sports would be renovated. My DH and I stayed there in 1994 when it was brand new. Very cute and nice. The Tennis buildings were quiet.
