Ok, so we are finally planning our trip for 2008. I think we have settled on the dates of April 24th-May 4th. I am hoping most schools will be back in session. Is there anything else going on that week??

We are completely undecided on a resort. We have 5 of us, myself, DH, 6 year old twin boys and a 2 year old girl. We stayed at POP last year. It was great, but the room was a bit of a tight squeeze. We are willing to stay there again, but are also contemplating Poly, WL, and CSR. What do you all suggest for the age of our children? Also, do you think there is a different resort that would be a better option?

Thanks for your input!!

Did u ever consider POR. it is a beautiful resort.

Have you considered popping over to the DVC board? The one bed appartments are amazing - with full kitchen, bathroom (and separate toilet), a bedroom and sofa bed in the lounge area!

If a DVC owner doesn't want to use their points one year, then they will 'hire' them out to non DVC people. They are really friendly over there, you could ask about the dates you want!

From what I've heard POP now has larger family rooms... but I don't know more than that I'm afraid, and it maybe that you had one of those last year?

All the best for a lovely vacation. I hope you find the place you're looking for

If I was you I would want as much space in the room as possible. Does the 2yr old sleep in a crib? That would take up some room. I would suggest if you are on a budget to try the family suites at the All Star Music resort. Here is a link to more info:

Another option, more expensive, would be renting points from a DVC member. This could get you a 1 bedroom, but be aware that you will have a king size bed, and then a pull out couch for the kids to sleep on. That may or may not work for you. You would also then have a full kitchen and washer/dryer in your unit which is great, especially with kids.

If you are not too worried about expense then you could do a deluxe resort. But, remember even though the WL and AKL are deluxes, the standard rooms are smaller than those at the GF, POLY, or CR, or the deluxes around the Epcot resorts area.(BWI, YC/BC) You can also find cheaper prices at the WL and AKL than the other deluxes so that's a plus for those resorts.

Also, the week of April 21st seems to be spring break for a lot of New Englanders. Including us in NY. You should be fine the time you will be there as far as crowds are concerned.

Personally if it were me, I would pick a deluxe on the monorail loop or over in the Epcot resorts area. You get bigger rooms, and great proximity to the parks. Then a gain, DH is a resort snob so he wouldn't have it any other way! Thank goodness we are DVC'ers!LOL;)

Good luck I know it's hard to choose. Just remember you'll be at WDW so it's all good!!!

Thank you everyone! There are so many choices, it's so difficult. In past years we have been on a bit tighter budget, due to paying for family to come with us. Last year we brought along my husbands parents, who would never have been able to go unless we treated them. And it was well worth it for the memories that my kids now have with their "grammy" and "bumpa" at WDW. But this year we are going solo, so we have a little more flexibility with our budget. But all the resorts look so amazing that I want to pick the "perfect" one. I personally want to stay at Poly, but my husband has numerous other ideas, lol. I am going to check out the DVC board and see what I find. The 2 year old will most likely be in a crib, so that does take up quite a bit of space.

Thanks again for all of your input and well wishes!!

Please don't be confused... (like me) it's All Star Music that has the family rooms, not POP, as Desnik says. Sorry.

AMAZING! Thank you so much! I just sent the link to my husband...since he is the pickier in our bunch. You did an excellent job!
