Choosing a party

So I’ve been to both mvmcp and mnsshp before. I usually go around Halloween every year but I’ve done the Christmas party once. Next year bf and (at the time of travel) 10 month old will be going. I absolutely adore Halloween but I do like the feel of Christmas sooooooo need advice. Which one do you personally think is better?? I can’t decide!!!

I’ve attended both parties and actually went to 3 MVMCPs in one week to watch my CM friend on the first float of MOUCP. I like the “feel” of both but enjoy seeing all the families in costume for MNSSHP.

Because it’ll be the baby’s first Halloween, it will be fun to dress in costume as a family and do all the Treat trails. That’s better than getting “free” snacks at MVMCP.

I have to give the edge to MNSSHP, too. While I love both parades, Boo to You is just amazing. And there's definitely a special energy to the Halloween festivities, seeing everyone all dressed up.

I prefer MNSSHP.

But one benefit with MVMCP, especially later in the season, is the potential for cooler temps. That can sometimes make things easier when touring with a little one who will mostly be in the stroller.

We went to one MVMCP with DD who was 6 months at the time where she sat happy as a clam bundled up in the stroller well into the evening.

We’ve done MNSSHPs where it’s much hotter and sitting in a warm stroller can be a little tougher.

I still give the edge to MNSSHP overall, but that one MVMCP trip when DD was so young gave us fond memories as well.
