Were planning a trip in 4/2005 and the agent gave us a cabin already. I have been looking at different sites with the location of the different cabin #'s. Can anyone help me choose a cabin? We have Cat. 4 on deck 8. Which side is better for seeing the different islands. Is it better to stay mid ship? Can you hear the music from up above if you are staying directly below the stage? Thanks for all your help in advance.

;) ;)

I prefer midship. Right or left side doesn't really matter to me. I try to look at the map and see the direction the ship is going and figure out where the "land" will be, so I can get some views (maybe).

On my 4 night Wonder cruise, we were on the right (starboard) side.

We were in 8048 (midship) last year on the Wonder and found it to be quite noisey. You can definitely hear the music from the deck party and we could hear them moving tables and chairs, rolling carts, etc. starting about 4:30am or so. To get some quiet I would recommend being as far forward as possible. We have a cat 4 booked for next April and it is under the hair salon, so it should be fairly quiet (I hope). We also have a cat 6 booked for next Christmas, so that should be quiet since it is on deck 6.

As for which side..... they usually back into Castaway Cay, so the island view would be on the starboard (right) side. I would imagine the docking at some of the ports changes from week to week, so it might be difficult to tell which side would have the better view.

which cabins are among the cheaper? mom and C are not bing on sitting in the room so cheaper is better in this case

The higher the category number, the lower the price. Be sure to check for inside or outside, if having daylight is important.

outahere: from what my mom told me the daylight thing was up in the air but they want to be close to everything. And cheaper is better since they are not sit in the rom types

Cat 4 8002 we had a great time in that stateroom
2 nd from the front of the ship...........

How is that area of the ship in regards to the "motion of the ocean"? We're in 8004 and 8006 come Thursday and am worried about my daughter getting ill.:crazy2:

Hi ElaineMc.

This past August we were in 8002. The year before we were in 8042. Both were terrific, but all 3 of us preferred 8042...
