As my last car was totalled, I have to get a new one. We are thinking of the ones I've listed. Vote!

I just want something that will be reliable, gets decent mileage...thats about it.

Feel free to enter a write in candidate as well.:teeth:

Honda Accord or Civic

Or my favorite is Nissian Altima

I have a Grand Am and have been quite pleased with it. I LOVE having the radio controls on the steering column. I'm always fussing with that and it sure beats fiddling with that knob. I've almost wrecked fiddling with knobs too!

I voted for the Toyota Camry though, just because it would be something different for me.

I've never bought a Toyota, but I wanted to add, at least in my experience, that Pontiac does a much better job of backing their warranties than say Chrysler. We had nothing but trouble trying to get things repaired at our Chrysler dealership. Maybe that's just our dealerships though??? I doubt I'd buy another of their products, and I had lots of trouble once with Ford too, and I know for a fact, I'd never buy another Ford!!!

Own a '97 Corolla with 101,000 miles. Besides regular matinenace...oil changes, tires..etc... I have never have had a problem. Knock on wood!!

My mom owns a Toyota Camry and she loves it! She says it's the best car that she has ever owned!:sunny:

Being in the market for a new car right now, I've been researching models. The Toyota Camry tops my list now (though I own a Ford Taurus).

I'm into safety, performance and a solid track record of maintenance and reliability. The standard Camry gives you that. If you want more of a sporty style plus extra performance the Solara looks like a great choice. A compromise between the two, which is the model I probably will buy, is the sport version of the standard Camry. It's got a bigger engine, a sport suspension and nice trim.

Not very important via everything else to have in mind but our SUV has the radio controls on the steering wheel too and its AWESOME!

I would vote Grand Am just because its a bit sporty!

I have a 99 Toyota Corolla. I really like my car, but since we've had DS, I find it a bit too small. His huge carseat fits fine backwards, but it's a bit tight back there now. Hopefully when we turn him around it will seem a little bigger in there. I'll be getting a new vehicle in a month or two and whatever I choose it will be a Toyota.

DH drives a 01 Toyota Solara. It's a great car, too! We've driven it to WDW several times. Even though it's a two door, it's still about the same size as a camry. The backseat has lots of room...MUCH more than my corolla. But again, if we had known about DS when we bought it, we would have went with a regular camry.

If you want reliable, I wouldn't go with a Pontiac or Ford =)

Either Toyota will treat you well, but I really encourage you to check out Civics and Accords... Best built cars on the road, and extremely reliable. PLUS, they hold thier value very very well.

Remember that if someone totals your Ford or Pontiac, you will more than likely be upside down in what you owe... With a Toyota or Honda, you'll more than likely receive money back once it's paid off.

Sniff...my old car...may she RIP...was a '98 Chevy Prizm, the twin to the Corolla.

I also never had a problem with it...ever...inthe whole two years I had it....she was at about 70,000 miles when she died. What a waste...it was a great car.

Thanks for all the input, keep it coming!

I vote for a Honda Accord! They are great cars and they hold their value

I vote for the Camry, too. DD bought a 1995 Camry back in 2001. It had 91,000 miles on it. Has over 104,000 now and has never let her down. That's all I wanted in a car for her - reliable and safe and it has more than upheld its end of the bargain. She even hit a deer with it one night :( going about 45 mph. Suffered some front end damage, but nothing major and she was not hurt (except upset for the deer). Of all the cars in our family, we all like driving hers best :teeth: !

Can we participate in another poll to help you select the color? :D

I got my Grand Am last year and absolutely love it!! If something happened to it or I was just looking to buy another I would definately consider buying another!

My favorite cars are Hondas. However, choosing from the ones listed I would stick with Toyota.

Go for a Honda. They're reliable, hardly ever needs repairs, the resale value is great.

Based on your poll though, go for the Camry.

Depends on how big a car you need and your budget. If it's just you, get a Honda Civic or a Toyota Corolla. If you need a family sedan, get a Honda Accord or a Toyota Camry. The most dependable cars out there. I drive a '97 Accord with 130,000 miles on it, DH drives a '98 Camry with 110,000 miles. We both have long commutes so we wanted cars we could put miles on. I wouldn't bother with the Solara. It's more money for essentially a Camry. Honda and Toyota both sell hybrid cars too, probably some waiting time for them though.

I voted for the Camry. I had one for 12 years and it had many many miles on it. Never had a problem with it.
