Choices on where to stay......

For our trip in May, we have a few choices on where to stay.....Any one place *better* than the others?? Our choices are as follows.....

Clarion Suites

Westgate Lakes Resorts

Star Island Resort and Club

Liki Tiki Village

Fairfield Orlando at Star island



Any advice before I choose??

I can only tell you about the Liki Tiki resort. If you have small children the Liki Tiki resort will be a hit with them. They will love the water park as it is geared for kids up to about the preteen years. When I was there in the spring, kids of all ages seemed to be having a worderful time, though. I have a toddler and have stayed there twice. The villas are nice, clean and spacious, and the staff very friendly.

I agree, with 4 kids under 9......seems like a good pick.

Now we are trying to choose between a highrise unit or a townhouse....

The high rise villas are nice (700-900 are closest to the water park) I have never stayed in the townhouses, though older they have been refurbished. The two story townhouses do have a screen porch which would be nice in the summer months. The 400-600 high rise villas are the furthest from the water park although they do overlook another pool. A third pool, in the club house, is nearer to the townhouses. Hope this helps. BTW we will be staying there this May as well.

Both of the Star Island resorts you have listed are actually the same place but different sections..owned by different companies. Supposed to be very nice and plush, not so great for kids I hear.
