Choices, Choices, Where to Stay

We currently have reservations at the Candy Cane Inn for Nov. 23 to 25 where we've stayed a few times before. We were considering switching to one of the Disney hotels since the Fall Getaway came out for a comparable rate. We've stayed one night at the GCH before and got a very dirty room at the time but loved the location. Were considering the Disneyland Hotel or concierge at the Paradise Pier. We were wondering which one everyone recommends. Is the walk very long from the Disneyland Hotel?

I though about booking the CCI as well, but was able to get a $139 rate at the DL hotel. A couple years ago we stayed at Castle Inn which is across the street from CCI and didn't think that walk was too bad. With the DL hotel we plan on taking the monorail into the parks, which beats the walking.

The walk is not bad at all. Plus since you're walking through DTD, it's really enjoyable with the music playing (even early in the morning).

Hey Vettegirl, I'm assuming the $139 was an AP rate for the DLH? Is that a weekday or weeknight rate? Thanks!

We are just headed home from six nights at the DLH and did not mind the walk at.all.
We have a double stroller for the kids (2 and 5). The walk hroughj DTD was very pleasant.
We have stayed at the Ho Jo before and while I loved the price, I hated the walk on Harbor. If the DLH is within your budget, I say go for it!
