Choice?

I am planning a trip in Otover but don't want to use mega points for a Saturday stay. My choices are Pop Century or All Star Movie with a great AAA discount. Any preferences here?

I am so not a fan of the value resorts.....however for our April trip we too are staying at Pop Century for 2 nights so we don't use points for 3 weekend nights (F, S and following F). We chose Pop because it was newer and figured it had to be in better shape. That's about all I can offer!

I would take Pop. I have stayed at both fairly recently and had a much better experience at the newer Pop than at two different All Stars.

Also, you also will be cramming on people from all three All Stars if you use the bus system (it stops at all 3 hotels each trip) so the buses were much more crowded there than at Pop when I was there last.

BUT - either are clean and decent hotels. Pop is newer certainly, but I had no complaints about room quality at the All Stars either.

Just FYI, if you make a mistake in a post, you can also just hit the edit button at the bottom of your post and you can then fix it. No need to make a second post, especially if it's only being posted 1-minute after the 1st posting.

As to which resort, we have stayed at both and my favorite is P.C. Depending on what your age is, you will enjoy all the different theming for all the different decades. See how many of the huge props of items you can remember.

I'm in the minority here but I do not like Pop at all. I think it is a huge eye-sore. We stayed at ASMo before and it was fine with the kids. Even though it has some huge characters it still seems gentler on the eyes! LOL

Recommendation from another LI Disney fan. We like Pop much better. We had a water view and ability to see Epcot fireworks from our room. Not as crowded and "brand new". I dont know what it will be like when the new section opens.
