chocolate soufle

First, I love your screen name!!! Willy Wonka...my favorite movie....because it has to do with CHOCOLATE!!! DAAADDYYYY.......I WANT IT NOW!!!!!!

Anyway...the chocolate souffle is very good. It'S less like a torte and more like a light fluffy souffle that is filled with rich chocoLate sauce. It's yummy!!

A couple more details:

These are not prepared ahead of time - so you must order it when you order your meal, otherwise it won't be ready (your server will generally ask if you plan on having it).

It's brought to your table right out of the oven, where your server will open the top and pour in vanilla and chocolate syrup.

I didn't find the chocalate to souffle to be "really rich". The one that was prepared for me was absolutely "PERFECT". I'd say it was the "BEST" dessert I've ever had in my life. I can't wait to go on another Disney cruise to have another one. Yummy!!

Please don't drool on your keyboard.

OK Tony,
Posting that picture is like the Chinese Water Torture for some of us.
If I could only have it NOW!!!!!

That was just plain mean to post that picture! ;)
*wiping drool off keyboard*

This dessert sounds great. Can I request one if I am dining in another restaurant?

When I ordered mine, they brought both vanilla and chocolate syrup to my table and asked my preference. I had vanilla and it was wonderful! Has anyone had the chocolate syrup AND the vanilla or both mixed and let us know which is best???? I don't care for very rich desserts like thick chocoate mousse but this dessert was perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had both the chocolate and vanilla which was heavenly....yummmmyyyy
My hubby had ordered a different desert but ended up eating half my souffle (it's just THAT good) so they brought us another one! It was great!

Oh man Tony, posting that picture as I crunch on my carrot sticks before going up to teach a night class was just TOO CRUEL!

Deb

Oh Tony that was so shocking and yet SSOO GGREAT! Excuse me while I go heat up a turkey TV dinner.

Karen and I do not plan on going to Palo but would love to try that dessert.
Can you order it from another restaurant?
Seems like something Disney could do!?

I'm not sure about ordering from someplace else, but I'm pretty sure you can go to Palo just for desert, and if you don't mind counter service, I don't think you'll need a ressie - maybe someone can comfirm or deny this???

Funny you should ask that .... while I haven't personally experienced this I just printed the following from another thread and tucked it into my Passporter!

"went up to Palo one afternoon to look around and spoke with one of the bartenders setting up. She said I could come back just for drinks and dessert and the bar."

Deb

We did just that one night--went to Palo, sat at the bar (had to ask if it would be okay first) and had drinks and a Soufle! It was FANTASTIC (I had eaten the soufle on our previous cruise and loved it) we skipped dinner at Palo this time and opted for brunch there instead. The servers remembered us from Brunch and were fantastic about letting us get just dessert and drinks. Ahhhhh the soufle--my husband opted to get the Tiramisu.

I'm in the minority here. I thought the soufle was way too sweet. Maybe the server poured in too much chocolate sauce. I couldn't even finish it.
