Chocolate Mickey Dessert

Last year (or possibly even earlier), I remember reading about chocolate Mickey "statues". They were mentioned in a thread about special desserts, like the chocolate Cinderella slipper etc.

Does anyone have any clue what I am rambling on about? Do they still do these? If so, how do you order them?

Just a week or so ago, I swear I saw a photo of one in someone's sig. I didn't ask at the time, so naturally haven't been able to find that sig since.

I remember them. They are chocolate (either white or dark) Mickeys with tuxedo strawberries. I believe the price was $50. I know you could order them at either GF or BC/YC. I'm not sure if they had them anywhere else. Hope this helps.

My husband ordered this for our daughter in May from the concierge at the GF. He got a white chocolate Minnie and it came with chocolate covered strawberries around the plate.

That sounds so cool...can you get them at the beach club? How do you order them? My little guy loves mickey...and chocolate!

I believe you need to call the resturant directly at least 48 ours in advance to order. There is a white chocolate slipper for $15.

My husband never called any restaurants. He went to the concierge desk at the GF and asked them about special things he could order and they showed him a book. He didn't see the Minnie, they only had a photo of Mickey, but when he said it was for his daughter they told him about a Minnie so he got that one. He ordered it around 9am and it was delivered that day around 5.

You can do just the statue or the statue with the strawberries. Many resorts offer it.

I ordered it at the BWV to be delivered to my room upon arrival.

Does anyone know if they will deliver that to a restaurant, like Yachtsman Steak House? Id love to surprise DH with that on our anniversary and Im guessing I cant get it sent to the Swan, where we are staying.

I'm wondering the same thing. We're celebrating three birthdays at CP in one evening and I wanted three different desserts/cakes. I wonder if they will deliver them to the restaurant for us? Anyone know?

For our last night at Disney in Dec we had dinner at 1900 Park Faire and I ordered 3 different desserts: the wedding cake, the dog bones and the slipper. DD(8) liked the dog bones and the cake the most. We took the slipper back to Tampa with us but never did eat it. The slipper reminds of the chocolate bunny I got every Easter...I would break one piece off but never finish the rest! If I ever order speciality desserts again I would order only one and probably only at a sit down meal. By the way they did gives us the DDE discount on the desserts!

I ordered my Mickey from BWV's in-room dining. So I would call the resort that the restaurant is in and see if they offer the Choc Mickey. Quite a few deluxes do. I know Cont, BC and BWV offer it and I think WLV and AKL and of course the GF offer it.

Thanks for the advice Beattyfamily. I have seen the Mickey offered on the in room dining menu at Y&B club, so thats why I was hoping they could deliver it one of their restaurants(YSH). Ill definitely try calling when the time gets closer.
