Ok, so not in that order, but we had ALOT of great food! I have plenty off food porn, so relax, pull up a chair as the dining room presents... your dinner. :lmao:

So first we ate at the Mexican Restaurant outside Mexico- I ALWAYS butcher the name so I am not even going to try. ;)
We had the Tacos El Carbon... which is 2 soft tacos including sides of salsa and refried beans With the dining plan we got a drink, always Diet Coke for us, and a Churro. The meal was yummy and we love the seating here as you can see the entirety of World Showcase lagoon. Also a haven for birds.

For Dinner we went to Joes Crab Shack off of property in Celebration, FL- LOVE this place!!! I got the Snow Crab Legs bucket, which comes with corn on the cob and cheesy potatoes. Hubby got Shrimp pasta also with cheesy potatoes. Total bill was around $40 with tip and sodas. GREAT alternative to eating somewhere else AND for the price you get alot of food. GREAT Service!
We went at around lunch time and it was empty on a week day.

More Food Reviews....

Cosmic Ray's for Lunch.

I had the 1/2 Rotissere Chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, loaded my plate with mushrooms and onions. Chose the Chocolate Cake. Everything was SOOOOO good!!! No complaints, the cake was soft and moist and the chicken was mouth watering. Personally, I will put mushrooms and onions on anything! :lmao:

I'm going to have to re-think eating off site. Those crab legs have my name written alllllll over them!;) :lmao:

California Grill was our choice for our 15th Wedding Anniversary and hubby's 34th Birthday. Hence the "Birthiversary" Day!

We chose the Oak-Fired Filet of Beef with Mashed Potatoes, Sauteed Haricot Vert in Teriyaki Barbecue Sauce. $41.00 Meal. We both ordered it, along with the Triple Cheese Flatbread for $10.00 appetizer. We also ordered Diet Cokes and for desert we got the Caramel Creme Brulee.

We had a dinner reservation for 5:30 p.m.. We parked at the Contemp, checked in at the 2nd floor, and then were escorted upstairs in the elevator. We were given a buzzer, and decided to take the opportunity to walk outside on the balcony and get some great pics. Being there early gave us the entire balcony to ourselves for pics, viewing, and just some quiet time together. We were seated shortly after and were given the closest table to the MK side. They had decorated our table with Mickey confetti and were very sweet about wishing us Happy Birthday and Anniversary.

The table we got was awesome, but at 5:30 the sun is starting to come down, so that side of the restaurant is BRIGHT!! They have the blinds down, so you CAN see things, but it is a bit bright.

The service was excellent and the bill came to around $120.00. We tipped over $20 and were more than happy too- we were on the DDP so the meal for us was free, and only paid out of pocket for the appetizer. They also only make you pay out of pocket tax on the item you are actually having to pay for, hope that makes sense.

As a bonus, we got a large piece of Chocolate cake with pieces of engraved chocolate on them saying "Happy Birthday/Happy Anniversary" with a lit birthday candle on it. MORE THAN ENOUGH to eat with our Creme Brulee as well- I AM SO GLAD I didnt order another cake for him and us! We barely could eat the ONE piece of cake!! My opinion, save your money on the cake, and just get the freebie with your celebration. It is a great surpise for the person and a nice touch. JMO.

We also got to KEEP our menu that had our date on it, 9.14.08, as I am a bug scrapper and it was neat to have it!

The meal was worth the DDP credits for a one time thing, but for the food your get, proabably not worth it for a second time. The food was incredible, but I don't think I would have PAID for it. Let me know if you have any questions.

Hoop Dee Doo.... Hoop Dee Doo!!!! THIS was SO FUN!! We ate at the 7:15ish time on 9.13.08, got in line at 6:45 p.m., and met some nice people from Orlando. We were seated in the 3rd tier which is like a booth around the right and left side of the 2nd floor balcony. You sit facing away from the stage while you eat, and then swivel your stool around to see the show. NOW it was just hubby and I, so we could take to each other just fine but if you are a family, this seating would bother me because I can't see everyone. Also when you seat is like being seated in a pew, once you are in, you have to hop over people to get out, so just a heads up. We could see the stage just fine and could also see most of everything going on down below in the main dining room.

We were chosen for the "Where are you from" song and also for our Anniversary. It was fun to be singled out and hubby got quite red!

The food.... was GREAT!! I am a ribs and chicken fan, so this was right up my ally! They serve it to you in buckets, along with corn bread, beans, and salad. I thought the salad was great and VERY MUCH like Olive Gardens salad. The beans were the only thing that I didn't eat much of- I guess I just like my Bush beans instead! I LOVED the Strawberry Shortcake, altho was sad we had to split it, I would have eaten it all! lol

The service was great and we had fun with ours quite a bit!

The show was great and pretty much what I thought it would be. Great acting and singing and just a hoot to watch- the blonde sounded like Karen from "Will and Grace." Also the red headed cowgirl seemed like a reak life "Jessie" to me:).

Yes, it is worth the DDP credits because you can eat as much as you want. It is probably a one time thing for us, but you never know.

Here are the pics!

One night we decided to head over to Pepper Market at Coronado Springs to use a Counter Service credit. Have been here before, but last time was 05 and couldnt remember what they all had.

We got there around 5:30, and noone was there! It was great and quiet! I got the Ribeye steak and baked potato, grilled veggies and hubby got the stir-fry sampler. We got lucky and they let us have the specialty cakes for our desert choice on the DDP. I had the Strawberry Pound Cake and hubby had the Carrot Cake- both delicious!

Both meals were VERY yummy!! Great place and SO WELL WORTH the drive over to have a nice meal without the usual burger and fries.

Loving your report so far. My family is going back in January, 2009 and staying at Pop Century. We aren't planning on going off site, but that Crab bucket looks like it's worth it!!
