In 2011 there was a chocolate buffet on my seven night cruise. Do they still have those? Doing Alaska in 2015 and would love to do that!

If you are thinking about the midnight chocolate buffet, I believe those are a relic of the past.

AFAIK, the chocolate buffet is only on the longer "specialty" cruises (Panama Canal, Hawaii, Med, etc).

They stopped doing them on the "regular" cruises in late 2011, I believe.

What a bummmer!!! I love a great chocolate buffet ......But thanks for the info!

our past two 7ngh cruises ('12 WC/'13 EC) they had a short dessert buffet about 11:30PMish on Pirate Night with plenty of chocolate...

Not the same thing. This was a fully chocolate dessert buffet with chocolate fountain. We had it on our Hawaii cruise at 11:30 one night.

I don't recall it on the 12-day June 2013 Med cruise. The last one I recall was the 2010 Med cruise.

We were on the Med cruise last year and never saw it - not saying it wasn't there but if it was we missed it :(

I thought the Magic and the Wonder still did the midnight chocolate buffet on the 7 night or longer cruises. The older ships also had the beautiful Ice sculptures and fruit carvings. I know they never introduced any of those special touches on the new ships (Dream or Fantasy).

Hmmm - how to find out? Would they tell me if I called DCL? Not that their answers would be consistent. I'd probably have to call 100 different times and take the consensus.:joker:

The Magic had the buffet on our March 2011 cruise but it was gone for our June 2012 cruise. For that cruise they had servers walking around the atrium with trays of bite-size desserts.
