AFAIK, the chocolate buffet is only on the longer "specialty" cruises (Panama Canal, Hawaii, Med, etc). They stopped doing them on the "regular" cruises in late 2011, I believe.
I thought the Magic and the Wonder still did the midnight chocolate buffet on the 7 night or longer cruises. The older ships also had the beautiful Ice sculptures and fruit carvings. I know they never introduced any of those special touches on the new ships (Dream or Fantasy).
Hmmm - how to find out? Would they tell me if I called DCL? Not that their answers would be consistent. I'd probably have to call 100 different times and take the consensus.
The Magic had the buffet on our March 2011 cruise but it was gone for our June 2012 cruise. For that cruise they had servers walking around the atrium with trays of bite-size desserts.
