*Chocolate and Pixie Dust* - An August 2008 TR- 8/29 pg 6: Sort of an update

I have to figure out a way to tell him that he can dive and there's lots of Muppets. I'll just tell him the Seas with Nemo and Friends is a scuba diving attraction and Gonzo, Fozzie, and Kermit live in the castle
Good luck with that!! :lmao:

I`ve been married for 19 years and have 3 kids...I think I forgot how to play canasta! :guilty:

I got the diver last Sept for my 40th birthday!! you can use my picture if you want!! just edit the sign! :lmao:

I have never tried the slushie in France. I don't know how I missed it. I plan on trying that one and the Grand Marnier one. Oh and some margaritas in Mexico.

Yes, made with Grey Goose citrus variety... yummmmmmmmm
let me know how the Grand Marnier one tastes! And I LOVE Mexico's margaritas!! :goodvibes Oh - and remind me never to meet exbf - he's SIX NINE?!?! I'm FOUR NINE!!!!!!!!

Good question, Jeffrey!
Who's "Jeffrey"?! :rotfl:

:rotfl: He Who Must Not Be Named! :lmao:

I am so stealing this line to use at a later date!!!

I agree, Charleston! Is that a great line, or what?! :lmao:

We can call him Voldy here :lmao:

We should make a book called DIS one liners. I love "Don't pull a Toy Story Mania." :rotfl2:

I plan on doing a drink review with my tr :thumbsup2

:lmao: Luckily, he's a teddy bear. Not violent or scary at all. But two feet is a huge height difference. My friend is 4'10'' and she hates standing near me!

I woke up this morning to this. I had to scroll back to get it in context. I wasn't sure WHAT you got for your birthday, but last night's vodka was telling me it was something other than some dude in a wetsuit at Coral Reef. :rotfl2:

Have you placed your Garden Grocer order yet? I think I'm going with them instead of Costco because they have sodas and I can't find sodas at Costco. Isn't that weird?

I placed the Garden Grocer order yesterday and it was really easy. There's a $40 minimum, but that's easy to reach. It's paid already and I have my confirmation. Place your order today. They still had lots of delivery times for August 9th and 10th.

No sodas at Costco? That is beyond strange!

Why aren't you on AIM? I tried to AIM you.

I'm signed off of AOL. I'm going to PM you my other AOL account and email.

My DH says to google whatever photoshop thing you want...thats how he learned and he made Jordan appear at our NYC meet so he's pretty spiffy at photoshop.

Hey girl .. I'm here ...sorry i'm late ...:goodvibes
2 weeks till you go woohoo... :cool1:

:welcome: Glad you made it over.

I can't believe the trip is so close. I can't wait!!!

Thanks for the tip! I'm going to do some experimenting tonight.

Yay for 21 days! Although now it's 20. So yay for 20 days!

I have to figure out a way to tell him that he can dive and there's lots of Muppets. I'll just tell him the Seas with Nemo and Friends is a scuba diving attraction and Gonzo, Fozzie, and Kermit live in the castle

:lmao: And, of course, begin coming up with your excuses for why they're not in the castle when you get there. Maybe, unlike all the Disney characters, the Muppets only appear at one park per day, and unfortunately you keep missing them--until Hollywood Studios where you have Muppet Vision 3-D! :cool2:

I gotta figure out this photoshop stuff. And figure out how I can dress my dad as Fozzie Bear for a pic.

:rotfl: :lmao:

Didn't Muppetvision used to be 4D? If so, what was the 4th dimension? And why is it only 3D now?

20 days you lucky gal!

Grey Goose and ice pops? Hmmmmm, have never tried that combo. Not even when I was a college student just looking for anything to mix with. The oddest we ever did was cheap vodka with apple juice. Ick but at the time it seemed like a good choice!

After an eventful Friday night, I decided to spend the rest of the weekend doing trip-relating things. And if you've been reading along, you know what was on that list. Shopping, of course.

I also started packing. That's right! I started packing last night, a whole three weeks before departure. Since there are certain things, mostly toiletries, that I won't use until Disney, I decided to get out the suitcase and start packing!

In addition to shopping and packing, I placed our Garden Grocer order yesterday. I ordered 2 cases of bottled water (and will probably finish that before the end of the week!), Gatorade, and chocolate doughnuts for T. My mom's going to stop at BJ's Wholesale Club or Costco and pick up some snacks for the flight and room. She'll probably get granola bars, pretzels, and raisins. Mom likes to get the 100 calorie packs of different snacks. If we're going to blow a lot of calories on a snack, we want it to be decadent and Disney! No thanks Mr. Snicker Bar. We want our Dole Whips, Mickey ice cream bars, and popcorn!!!

Here's my to-do list:

1. Schedule manicure and pedicure. I need a fresh coat of Starter Wife!
2. Eyebrow waxing at Exhale Spa with Eliza. She's the best eyebrow lady
in NYC.
3. Schedule bikini wax. Highly necessary when wearing any form of swimwear
and when playing canasta.
4. Hair appointment the day before we leave. My stylist will be on vacation,
which is causing major hairxiety. Luckily, the other stylist is great too.
5. Calll doctor for a new Epipen prescription. Hopefully, I won't have to use
it.
6. Confirm gift basket order with Betsy.
7. Decide if I'm going to order the chocolate monorail.
8. Order a Cinderella Castle cake for our dinner at 1900 Park Fare.
9. Reserve town car/limo. I think we have too much stuff for the town car.
10. Schedule a visit to the dermatologist for a facial and to get more face
stuff.
11. Order supplies for September. I want to make sure our markers, paint,
pencils, etc. arrive in time for the first day of school.

I've started compiling a list of things I must do/try while at Disney. Here's what I have so far:

1. Resort hop. I've never done this. I really want to see WL, AKL, BC/YC,
BWI, and POFQ (Dad's from the Big Easy).

2. Dole Whip

3. Lapu Lapu

4. Grey Goose Slushie

5. Grand Marnier Slushie

6. Sake

7. Fiesta Margarita

8. The Kitchen Sink at Beaches and Cream

9. Expedition Everest (I hope I don't chicken out!)

10. Toy Story Mania

11. Visit DTD

What do you think? Is there something that should be on my list? Any suggestions?

Tomorrow we'll be in the teens!!! Yay!

I think I need to buy a few Muppets and just bring them to the parks with me.

I still haven't found a costume for my dad. I need a brown hat and a polka dot bow tie.

Didn't Muppetvision used to be 4D? If so, what was the 4th dimension? And why is it only 3D now?

That's a good question.

It wasn't good at all. I need to try apple juice :lmao:

I've been doing the same thing, only with my ship-ahead box.

In addition to shopping and packing, I placed our Garden Grocer order yesterday. Did my order today! Yippee!!

I need a fresh coat of Starter Wife!
I have to ask what this is.

3. Schedule bikini wax. Highly necessary when wearing any form of swimwear and when playing canasta.
:rotfl2: :rotfl: You have me in tears. But what about the time between now and the wax? Don't you have to avoid canasta parties? Just curious.

7. Decide if I'm going to order the chocolate monorail.
Oh Geez, Jen. Will you decide already so you can take this off your to-do list? And the rest of us can take it off our waiting-for-Jen-to-quit-obsessing-over-the-chocolate-monorail list? You know you're gonna get it. Just bite the (chocolate?) bullet (train). :lmao:

That's not TODAY's to do list, is it? What's your time line for getting all this done? I was amazed that it is so short (much shorter than mine) if this is all you have left before the trip, or so long if it's for today.

I've started compiling a list of things I must do/try while at Disney. Here's what I have so far:
My "Not to Be Missed" list is WAYYYYY back in my PTR (and nestled securely in my binder on the corresponding "park/Other" pages. Many of yours match mine, so I have a feeling we'll be running into each other alot. Why aren't lapu lapus on the top of your list? :confused3
