*Chocolate and Pixie Dust* - An August 2008 TR- 8/29 pg 6: Sort of an update

I like #2 also.

You were online at 11:05pm and 4:00am. When do you sleep?

I like 3. I always go to Disney with the grand idea of spending time at the resort and never do. If 3 was your plan, you'd force yourself to enjoy time at the CR.

I've never been to the Boardwalk. What's the easiest way to get there? Walk over from Epcot?

I think I'm a bit slow here. I didn't realize that there was a boat from DHS.

Is there a lot to do at the Boardwalk resort?

Stay at my favorite, the DOLPHIN, and you can walk over to the Boardwalk and enjoy the shops, restaurants, bakery, and activities in the evening! :goodvibes

And... "Arrival Day Dilemma" - I pick #2 or #3. lol (just in case you were wondering.... :rotfl: )

When you exit DHS, instead of turning right to go to the bus stops, head straight and then left. You'll see a ferry landing. It'll take you to the Epcot Resorts...!!!

At the Boardwalk, there is some streetmosphere. Mostly it's just your typical 2-3 shops. There's an ice cream/sweets shop, a bakery, a pizza window, as well as 4 restaurants (including ESPN Club). Jellyrolls is a dueling pianos bar that has a cover...(Tuesdays are CM nights, the best night to go)

As far as what to do on your first day...bring swimsuits and just hang out at the resort......

where have I been? I can't believe I didn't know you had a ptr!
:sad2: u were having too much fun with flat Jordan

we need an intervention here.

I cannot wait to take the boat from BC to DHS.

I love Earl of Sandwich in DTD. Yummy!!!! I am a true CS kinda girl and I love just about all of the CS in MK. :confused3

I've never been to Earl of Sandwich. I think I have to try it.
What's your favorite sandwich?

My reply is in the quote

My advise is always to have a relaxing arrival day with very little plans. You never know what is in store for you before you actually get into your room.

Have you posted your Itinerary yet for the week??

It's very difficult for me to relax. I'm usually ready to go once I get off the plane. But I think you're advice is great. We'll all be in a better mood if we don't rush to get to a park on the first day. We are arriving on a Saturday afternoon. I can only imagine what the crowds will be like.

Plus, I think T would probably prefer going to the pool.

Thanks :thumbsup2

:welcome:

Glad you made it over here :goodvibes

Option 3 is my vote.

If you go to DTD I second the vote for Earl of Sandwich.

We really liked Pinnochio's in Fantasyland at MK.

I haven't been to Pinnochio's since I was a kid. Sounds like a good option if we ever feel like changing a TS to a CS.

I like #2 also.

#2 and #3 are quite popular!

:lmao:

Actually it was after 5:00 here. We're one hour ahead of you. I like to get up early because I'm slow. But I'm done with work at 3 so I have lots of rest time. I took a long nap Sunday afternoon and couldn't sleep. I should have taken a Tylenol PM.

"Pick three, my lord, pick three!" (As I hold up two fingers). Name that movie.

So, in essence I like #2 and #3 the best.

Hmm is it a Monty Python movie? Or a Harry Potter movie? I'm terrible at this?

I like 3. I always go to Disney with the grand idea of spending time at the resort and never do. If 3 was your plan, you'd force yourself to enjoy time at the CR.

You have a point. I could spend the afternoon exploring CR and maybe take the boat over to WL.

I'd go for #3. Your only going to be at CR for one night so make the most of all it has to offer.

So true! We could take in all that CR has to offer.

Now to decide between #2 and #3!

Thanks for the info TGJ :thumbsup2

I wonder what kind of drinks are sold poolside at the CR.

It was actually after 5 :rotfl:

I wonder what my Disney-hating exbf will think about the DIS.

:rolleyes1 Now why would you care what your EXbf would think of the DIS...unless things are moving more to :lovestruc We want the dirt girl!!

Things are beginning to make a bit of a 180. I spent some time this weekend talking to him. I wish he'd change careers. I hate his hours :sad2:

I see my DH a couple of hours in the evening and on weekends...I don't love his schedule but it does give me my own time. You'd have DIS time if you guys got back together.

Do I smell  in the air????

Have you narrowed down your resort selection for December? I am thinking about POR. But I am not doing the dining plan. We will be there Dec 11-14. I love being 6 hours away! :cool1:

So that means that 11:05pm was actually 12:05AM!!! Same difference. Don't forget I'm a numbers girl. You can't pull one over on me!!

Is this the drunk dialer?

It's either love or insanity :lmao: I think I just like tall guys :confused3

Right now I have December resorts narrowed down to: GF, WL, AKL, POR, Dolphin, BWI

:lmao:

I suffer from teacher's Sunday night insomnia.

Yes, this is the drunk dialer. But since I met him drunk at a Halloween party, it seems fitting that he would call me intoxicated :rotfl2:

He was sober this weekend ;)

I have to check out Dylan's Candy Bar and get some. I think I could manage to make a pop rocks martini.
Wait...not only do you live near WOD, you live near DYLANS? I have never been but it has been my DREAM to go!!! Let's do a DIS meet at Dylans, then WOD, then maracas!
I
2. Do not buy 1 day base tickets and spend the afternoon at DTD. Pick up CS lunch at DTD. Head back to CR for dinner ADRs and to watch Wishes.
I say do #2...you can do it leisurely....and shop at the same time. Oh, and head to Basin, like we suggested earlier...get a nice scrub, take it back to your hotel...sigh...:cloud9:

I
Also, not sure which CS at the MK or DTD.
Which CS do you recommend at MK and DTD?
Pecos Bills, and Earl of Sandwich...hands down!
I suffer from teacher's Sunday night insomnia.

It totally exists! I finally fell asleep around 12:45...then got up at 7:30 (I am supposed to be up at 6:15)

I like 'em tall, too! I married a tall man! :lmao:
I would love to do GF, but it's only an extended weekend trip. I think our big 2010 trip will be back at the GF since we won't do a big trip in 2009 at WDW. What are your dates?

We should plan it asap! We can get some sweets from Dylan. Maybe some ice cream :goodvibes

I may head to DTD alone and let my nephew hang with everyone else. I can leisurely shop that way ;)

I wonder if there's any research on Teacher's Sunday Night Insomia :confused3

:lmao: How tall is your husband? The drunk dialer is a 6'9'' giant :rotfl:

I'm thinking of going either the weekend after Thanksgiving and taking a couple of days off work or December 19-24 :scared1:

DH isn't as tall as the drunk dialer. He's 6'2". I heard that the weekend after Thanksgiving is starting to get busy, too. We were at the GF last December two weeks before Christmas. I  WDW at Christmas. DH's B-day is on the 14th of Dec and we will celebrate his b-day again this year. We aren't going to do MVMCP. It was nice, but not so nice to do it again. :confused3 JMO. Who are you bringing along on that trip?
