*Chocolate and Pixie Dust* - An August 2008 TR- 8/29 pg 6: Sort of an update

Sounds like APs are your best bet:thumbsup2

I'd go for whichever hotel is cheapest.... but that's just me ;) if u can get a wickid rate on a nice hotel go for it :goodvibes

Isn't it a great hotel?

Grey goose gimlet coming right up!

We were just there for two night during President's Weekend... saw "Hairspray" on Broadway, went to Afternoon Tea at the St. Regis, and went shopping.. DD LOVES NYC.

Our friend surprised us by upgrading us to a two room suite and had wine and cheese and milk & cookies waiting. It was a fabulous weekend!:dance3:

Sounds like you had a great time!

Can I get a cherry vodka/club soda?

I think you are also eligible for DDE with AP, which might be cheaper than DDP in the long run!

Oh My! The World of Coke, sorry! HEH HEH HEH! I wonder if they have Beverly there...hm...you'll have to check it out and let me know!

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: I just laughed OUT LOUD at that! Too funny! Could you imagine the World of Coke handing out free samples of the Beverly? :rotfl: I would just stand there the whole day taking pictures of everyone's Beverly face! Forget the convention!

Yes, they do actually have samples of Beverly there -- and ALL the other Coke products served around the world. Last summer, we went to the new World of Coke. I got a sample of Beverly and handed it to Connor to try (knowing what would happen). The couple next to me gasped (but kind of laughed at the same time). Connor's look was hysterical -- I am such a mean mommy. :)

I've been considering (well for the last hour) getting annual passes. We're going to Disney in August for 8 days, I may be going back in October for 5 days, and definitely next July for my unborn nephew's first birthday party for another 8 days. Would it be better to get annual passes instead of buying passes with every package? Any thoughts?

Yes, I think an AP would be a great investment! :thumbsup2

I've never had a cherry vodka/club soda. But being that it's 5:30 and I have to teach until 2:45, I think the strongest thing I'll have this morning is a sugar free vanilla skim latte.

I have to do some research on the DDE. I've heard about it, but don't know the details.

I think a trip the The World of Coca Cola is going to be on my agenda for Atlanta. I HAVE to have my camera ready when my friends and fellow teachers try it :rotfl2:

I'm going to try to reprice the package and future trips with an AP.

Ok, I need some help from fellow DISers.

I'm attempting to put together a trip planning binder to organize all of my info. Right now, everything is stuffed in a couple of folders. I have maps of the Poly, guidemaps for each park, various Disney brochures, and my list of ADRs. Thanks to Jordanyosh, I am on my way to getting my itinerary together. So, I plan on putting my spreadsheets and lists in there.

How do you organize your binders? If you have a trip planning binder, please post a pic. I'd love to see.

More help needed DISers!

As you know, my 4 year old nephew is going with us to Disney. He'll be four and a half at the time of the trip. I'd like to find some kids programs for him. I've read about the princess tea party at the GF, but my nephew would have no interest in having tea. I've also read about a lunch (or was it a tea party?) with Alice and the Mad Hatter. That seems like fun, but do boys attend this? Are there other kids programs?

Thanks for your help:flower3:

It's a fun place to go spend some time. They have a 3-D film, a bunch of exhibits, a character meet n' greet with the polar bear, a tour that shows how Coke is made, and of course, the tasting room. :thumbsup2

I organize mine into sections: reservation details, resort, packing stuff, directions, park info., dining plan/dining reservations, fun stuff to remember to do -- I know I have other sections, but that might get you started.

There is a pirate cruise that sails from the Grand Floridian that would be right up T's alley! Also, they have a Junior Chef program at the Land where they make chocolate chip cookies. I'll see if I can think of anything else today.

I was going to mention the Pirate cruise as well (haven't done it, but have read a lot about it).

Sorry I haven't been around! I'm sure I have a lot of catching up to do.

How are you feeling Jennifer?

Binders I cannot help with. Everyhting goes on my Treo (hopefully IPHONE) before I go.

as for your nephew have u checked Allears and see if they have info on it.

POR does a Pirate cruise also I think.

How about a book for kids. maybe that would give u ideas.

I think you've seen enough pictures of my binder, but here's one:

Here's the binder not making the height requirement at Space Mountain:

What about the Pirate Cruise... Farrah's kids (heath-and-javens-mom) did that last year.... I hear it's pretty fun...

I'll post some of mine later... if you need any assist with stuff to put in em let me know... I save alot of files on my laptop for binders that I help others with :)

I consider myself very organized, but I don't do a "binder" - that would make me nuts having something that bulky. :rotfl: lol I use a strong folder. Dining reservations, room reservations, flight info, limo reservations, mass times at the Shrine, tentative itinerary, ticket copies. I put the really important things in plastic sleeves. That's it.
I'm on VACATION!!!!!!!!!! :lmao:
