*Chocolate and Pixie Dust* - An August 2008 TR- 8/29 pg 6: Sort of an update

I saw nothing on that special that was a savings. fun to see the sites though

That was my feeling about it, too. Any excuse to see WDW! I don't know if I will even bother with next week's episode though.

I agree. I watched it again today with my nephew. Now he wants to go on Expedition Everest. But he won't make the height requirement by August :sad2: We'll stick to Goofy's Barnstormer.

I'd rather ride Everest over Barnstormer any day of the week!

He was about 38 in January. He looks taller. Hopefully, he'll be able to try it...with my mom. I'm a big chicken!

Everest really wasn't bad -- my goal is to keep my eyes open this year.

Is it 40 or 42 inches for Everest?

I am a big chicken, too -- I think I am going to re-attempt Tower this year -- I still am sitting out on RnR, Mission Space, and Astro-Orbiter though. Not doing those.

I'm ok with going fast. I'm not good with steep drops. I'm not so sure if there's a steep drop on Everest, but that's what's holding me back.

I need to look up the height requirement for Everest.

I could never attempt Tower of Terror. I would be sick for the rest of the day.

I am not good with thrill rides at all. I did, however, go on Tower of Terror three times after it was newly introduced. On one high school trip, I went on twice. The next trip I went on with my DBIL, since no one else would. The pic of us is priceless. I believe he's clinging to me as much as I am to him. After we left the ride, he looked at me and said, I didn't know you could scream like that. :lmao:

Bear in mind this was before the oh so fun "random" computer generates how many times you drop. I will never go on that ride again. Well, I shouldn't say never. If DS is older and begs me with that cute face I may consider it. ;)

Champagne and Chambord is great!!! I am the Kir Royale Queen :rotfl2:

And I love Grey Goose.

Ahhh so many choices, but only one liver.
:lmao:
What type of champagne do you like? I have my "favorites"! ;)

Jen - in celebration of our 105 days, I found this for you!

OOOOO.... can't wait to try a Lapu Lapu in June!!! :cool1:

Wow your daughter will attend the school where you teach. That's so neat.

I was the PK - grade 8 school librarian, K & 1 Music, and school liturgy coordinator for 7 years while DD was at the same school.... It was great to be there when she was there and home when she was home. If I had a meeting or needed to finish things up, she did her homework in the library or my office, or helped one of the other teachers hang bulletin boards, etc. It was very nice. And, funny, but except when I had her class for Library, we didn't see much of each other at all! :goodvibes

Fuzzy Disney Math alone makes someone gifted :thumbsup2

I'm ok with fast and drops - I am NOT ok with backwards, upside down, or circles. (as I said on Scott's PT - Teacups were made for DRINKING, not riding! :scared1: )

(not to fond of pitch darkness, either!)

There's a steep climb but no steep drops...

Everest, in my opinion, is the smoothest of the roller coasters at WDW.

That was the last time I went on it -- when it only did the one drop -- I think I am ready to try again though.

My two come across the street in the afternoon, and it is very nice. They are with me, and if I have to stay later for some reason, they watch TV, do homework, or play on the computer.

There's a steep climb but no steep drops...

And that steep climb isn't too bad if you look straight ahead and don't look to the right or left and see that you are higher than the Tower of Terror.

Cliff Notes for Jen's PTR:

Well, I am not sure...last night she began her mini-PTR (very funny -- a must-read) and then it went to us grousing about the Disney on a Dime show, the nuances of gifted education, some digression into NKOTB (but that may have been the night before), and of course, the obligatory references to Bret Michaels and Lapu Lapus. We have made no other definite plans on the prom idea and I think that pretty much covers it :).

Good girl...you take your time!

Hope you'll be able to enjoy those summers off real soon! :cutie:

Jenn-I am loving your mini TR for VA! :scared1: about the early train! Holy....I don't think I would have been able to fall asleep thinking I wouldn't wake up on time...

:wave2: Hi everyone. I am so sorry I haven't been able to update or respond to posts today. I've been running around Westchester, looking at apartments after very little sleep. I found a fabulous one in Yonkers, so hopefully that will work out.

My nephew was over this weekend and had a stomach virus :scared1: So, that was not fun.

I will update tomorrow with lots of pictures of all things Colonial and respond to your posts.

Now, I'm off to cry because tonight officially ends my spring break. I actually have to work tomorrow. Why can't I marry a rich man?

Pixie dust for the apartment! :wizard:

I am sorry that T had a stomach virus :(.

Don't cry! I was just thinking tonight how much I would love to be a stay-at-home mom -- that depressed me because I can't. :sad2:

I hope you don't catch what your nephew had! Altho it might give you some time off!;)
I can't wait to see the pictures from Williamsburg. It's on my top 10 places to visit in the us.

Moet is a good reasonably priced champagne. But then there's Dom....

I'm not ok with upside down either. I can handle the Teacups for the most part :rolleyes1

Maybe I'll be able to catch up someday......

Awwww poor TGJ

I actually went to the exbf's house late Saturday night

Thanks! The train ride was way too long. I'll never do it again. I'm going to post pics tonight.
