Chocolate and dogs

Very few dogs (in comparison to how many eat it!) react fatally to chocolate but it is nothing to mess around with. Both of mine have eaten it in the past but usually just milk. Baking chocolate is what is so fatal, and of course it depends on the size of the dog. And some dogs are resistent to everything!!

You should never ever induce vomiting to an animal with the direction of a vet. Not a good idea.

My miniature schnauzer ate half a bag of chocolate chip cookies. The vet said it wasn't enough chocolate to harm him and my dog had no ill effects.

Wow!! Not trying to sound dumb.. I always knew it wasnt good for a dog to eat chocolate but I never knew it could kill them.. I will make sure my doggie doesnt get any.. and I will definitely tell my kids too..
