Has anyone participated is this tasting? I just did it on the Wonder last Sunday and oh my, it is by far the best tasting I have done! The chocolate they used was SO good!! We made pairings using the PINK champagne used on the Dream, a red wine, a port wine and a whiskey. I think they did a great job choosing the right beverages to go with the chocolate. I was a little taken back with the $30 pp price tag but in the end, I thought it was well worth it and I'd do it again! There was 5 of us in our group and everyone enjoyed it!

I did and loved it! I just don't know what the name of the chocolate was that was paired with the champagne. It was the one on the far left, served in a small martini glass and it had some white chocolate in it.

Anyone know? I would love to get more of it!

I think they were all Valrhona chocolates.

Yes they were! So delicious! I'm not a huge white chocolate fan but the white chocolate was so tasty. I know they were saying the chocolate is expensive but I'm going to see if I can get my hands on some somewhere!

Any pics? I do love chocolate!! How many different chocolates would you say you tried?

We had what I assume was two different types of white chocolate, 2 milk chocolates and a dark chocolate. We also paired some Parmesan cheese to show the different flavors pulled from the port when when having something sweet versus salty.

I have a pic on my phone but not sure how to post it without using photobucket. I'll upload it to there later.

And yes they do it on the Fantasy! I wanted to do it last June on the Fantasy but they only offered it once and it interfered with brunch. I think they only offered it once on the Wonder as well.

Are the chocolates plain chocolates? Or are there any with nuts in them? I have a nut allergy, so I'm curious!

We had dark chocolate, milk chocolate, caramel chocolate and white chocolate. They were plain with no visible nuts. We were also served the same types of chocolate in liquid form. Not a lot of chocolate but enough to taste how well each paired.

No Parmesan cheese in our tasting.

I did not like the liquid chocolates. DH enjoyed the tasting more than I did, and I really do enjoy good chocolate candy.

Here is a picture of how ours was set up on the Magic's EBTA in May.

I hope they do this on the Dream, too--I LOVE chocolate! Is this something that you sign up for on the ship or can you get advanced reservations like you do for excursions? We are going on our first Disney cruise in March and it's for four days.

How could I forget about the caramel chocolate?! Yes we had that too and it was so good! Like a pp mentioned, there were no visible nuts in the chocolate.

As far as signing up for this tasting, I would go directly to guest services after boarding since it seems like they only offer it once a cruise. It was my concierge host however who offered it to me. I didn't even think they would have it on the Wonder since I had never seen it before except when I was on the Fantasy. Makes since now since they just rolled it out in Jan.
