Chlorine in pools and discolored swimsuits??

We've been to Disney World many times and stayed at almost every hotel on property at one time or another, and the only time we've had this kind of problem was last summer with my daughters' suits. We'd been at the Beach Club for 5 days using the swimsuits with no problem, swimming and washing out as we normally do. We switched over to Pop Century for the weekend to relieve our overstressed DVC points budget. The girls swam for about 20 minutes in the bowling pin pool and in that time fully 3/4 of the color bled out of their suits. I could hardly believe my eyes when they stepped out of the pool. Whatever chemical they use, whether it's chlorine or whatever, must have been improperly applied to the water because the level of fading of their suits was amazing.

So -- in all of our trips to WDW, with countless hours of swimming, one problem. Not a bad record at all. But I've learned to never assume!

DD's swim suits from Lands End faded horribly after a few swims (rinsed after) on 2 trips. We pack old ones now.

The truth is simply with so many items made in China and other overseas countries, the quality of the swims suits are at best questionable............The price and store doesn't matter anymore, cheap is cheap and with swim suits its going to fade if cheap

Think made in USA, its your best chance to get quality.:thumbsup2
