Chit Chat Thread - November ADRs...

Thanks for the info, this will help! Planning for a first timer has been quite frustrating :-)

I can only imagine!! I've planned numerous Disney trips and this year has been extremely frustrating for me, so as a first-timer it has to seem overwhelming! It sounds like you're doing some great advance planning though so hopefully your first trip is amazing!!!

I'm completely frustrated with the amount of time I'm spending pre-vacation to book FP and ADRs. It's really starting to take some of the excitement away for me. UGH!

Sorry!! It is frustrating this year...hopefully you get everything set soon and can reset before your actual vacation so that it still feels magical for you once you get there!!

Booked our FastPasses this morning at midnight. NO A&E for us:( Any chance people drop these FastPasses along the way? First time doing FP+.
Yes people will drop cancel so keep checking. Search for the day you want by checking for a single fastpass at a time. Then try and grab overlapping ones that's what worked for me last year and I chose to just get 2 for me and my daughter. DH and DS did a roller coaster instead. Also keep your eye open for parks extending hours. IF MK opens earlier or closes later they usually release more FPs during that time. Many people will change the few days before too. Good luck!

Thank you for your advice!!!All of which I will be trying:). Kids don't know we are going to Disney yet (can't wait to tell them in a couple weeks!!) and getting to see A&E would truly be the icing on the cake for our little princess:

BTW - what were you thoughts overall about TPs wait times and crowd level predictions to what was really going on in the Parks the days you were there?

I found them to be pretty accurate. If anything, the wait times were a bit over exaggerated - we waited less than TP had said we would.

Thanks for that info. Like loveshak, it's also my first time using them so it's good to know they're at least somewhat accurate.

So in addition to FP leading to ADR hoarding until people know which park they are going to be at when, and also the increased crowds to blame for making it harder to get ADRs....there's a website that makes reservations under fake names and sells them. I've heard rumors about this but saw a news article today confirming the existence of the site (I edited this post to remove the news link so as not to give the site any free publicity)! At least if nobody uses the site they'll have to release reservations the day before or else pay for being no-shows.

I know some people love and hate paid search engines that let you know when ADRs become available, but at least those sites just alert you to an opening that anyone can book if they see the reservation. This site is actually making reservations under fake names and then charging people for them!! That's just too much!! I hope Disney figures out some way to block this quickly!

I saw that thread but didn't really read past the OP. That's another way to rob from us who's legitimately trying to grab those ADRs. And how is that company going to guarantee the transfer? From what I understood, they drop the ADR while you're on the other end trying to grab it from wdw. I've lost a couple of coordinated ADRs from the Nov cancellation thread because they never showed up on the wdw site, but ok with it since I didn't pay. I would be really disappointed at the wasted money if I paid for them. (caveat: I'm not 100% sure how they transfer ADRs).

I don't understand it either?? I went to the site and most of the ADRs were 'sold out' so they are getting business. Some of the reservations said 'guaranteed' and we're $15 and some were less and said 'ppo'. I didn't stay on the site long enough to read how it works. I didn't think you could actually transfer an ADR but maybe there's a way?? I think the cheaper option is the coordinated drop that folks try to do and works sometimes and sometimes not...?? Funny that you have to pay whether you get the ADR or not. I mean what's to stop someone from charging people for ADRs that they claim to have , but really don't, and then when the person says it never shows up you just tell them it's not guaranteed and maybe someone else got it or Disney didn't release it back into the system?

Exactly.

hey all,

stayed up till midnight but no anna and elsa. sigh. i will keep checking, but i highly doubt i'll grab a cancellation. the day we are going to magic kingdom, there are early morning extra hours - it's the only day we can go, no big deal - but does anyone know round about how long it will be if we go there immediately after opening? we don't have kids and there is no way my husband will stay in line for a couple of hours to meet some characters. we also have a breakfast reservation, and as much as i'd love to meet anna and elsa, i don't want to waste my day away.

next question, would you rather eat at be our guest for breakfast or lunch? i currently have a breakfast reservation but i taught my husband how to make reservations in case akershus became available when i wasn't home, and i had a watch set up for be our guest lunch and we got a notification so he made the reservation, yadi yadi yada, now i have 2 and i don't want to hoard them.

thanks for your help :)

Sorry you didn't get your A&E. Keep trying for it, including for just 1. Then try to find another one after that if your DH really wants to meet them. There's also the Nov FP cancellation thread that you should follow:

I went to a&e last year in mid dec right at rope drop. We were pretty lucky in that we rushed there and it was probably a 30 min wait? It didnt seem long at all and when we were out, the line was already at 70 mins.

So I got pretty much all the FP I wanted, except for MK. I wanted a MSEP but only a Wishes was available (which I got). I hoped that we could get a FP for the parade and just watch Wishes from there or make our way down Main Street. I'm not entirely sure where the MSEP FP is located. Does anyone know if this would work? Do they let you stay at the FP location for Wishes? Or the more important question, would you want to?

OMG! The Disney site is killing me. I can pick up a reservation but I can't see mine to cancel the other one OR get a cast member to help because the site is down and they can't cancel for me either. They even told me to "try" fastpasses for myself a day early because of all the glitches today. >:(
