Chit Chat Thread - November ADRs...

That is interesting...I've read that Disney claims to release all reservations but then there randomly seems to be a group of reservations that open up all at the same time? So who knows? Or maybe the restaurant gets overbooked and they don't rerelease some ADRs? It's all a guess I suppose! Sorry you didn't get it though - that stinks!

I will say that CL guests don't get any special treatment. The Itinerary Planning Office (IPO) that searches for CL guests uses the same system as everyone. Basically every morning the IPO goes through their list and checks the dining system to see if anything has opened up for people's wish list. Since they only check every morning most CL guests still check on their own.

this is all really good to know! I've never stayed club level (we do have it booked for our universal days in November, but no reservation benefits needed there!) so I was just assuming it might be part of the perk.

Have the same problem. I have Minnie's holiday dine without fantasmic and its at 5:45, so no way to even get in line for fantasmic after eating I have been searching 500 times a day for fantasmic package with no luck. We still have time......good luck!!

good luck to you too! I've been searching a ton too, but seeing so much movement on the cancelation thread in the last few days is giving me some hope.

Alright people...I need some help! Assuming you could get these reservations, would you choose:

1. QS for lunch at MK with a BOG dinner

or

2. BOG for lunch and an 'Ohana dinner

I'm so torn! I want to try BOG for dinner (even though I've heard the food at lunch is better) because I feel like it will be a slower meal where I can enjoy the ambience of the restaurant more than I could at a QA lunch. But it's also the only day I'd be willing to change my ADRs to fit dinner into our schedule.

Thoughts??

I've done BOG lunch and dinner twice. this time around we're skipping lunch. I know popular opinion sides with lunch, and I think maybe if you're on the dining plan it's a good deal. but like you, I find lunch is much too hectic to enjoy the restaurant. last trip there were constant streams of people searching for tables, yelling at CMs about the lack of tables, and rushing other people out to get their table. and the food at lunch really wasn't anything great--I would much rather have lunch at Columbia harbour house. last BOG dinner I had the mussels appie with a side of fries and it was great. a couple bucks more than the lunch meal, but in a calm, dimly lit restaurant. all of this is coming from someone who hasn't had dinner at ohana though, so take it with a grain of salt.

Done both for dinner and both were great BUT..... Be our guest was definitely our favorite!! The food was great and the dining room was breathtaking. Ohana was great food and tons of it, but we chose be our guest to do again, but not Ohana. I hope that helps. Y not do be our guest for both quick and full service? We are this year just bc we have never tried their quick service.

Thanks! You've both confirmed my thoughts on why I, personally, would like dinner better - better ambiance and time to enjoy the dining room! I'll keep my BOG dinner!

For me the draw of BOG is the atmosphere so I think I'm fine with just dinner and trying something else for lunch close to wherever we happen to be when we get hungry. But, I do have a Scout search for lunch so maybe if I get something we'll give it a shot!

Got a notification from disney dining buddy (i signed up to that and scout) for my Akershus breakfast.... and it was gone by the time I got there, less than a minute later. Not sobbing. :(

Sorry, this is not about ADR's I'll take it down if it's not allowed.
Planning on park hopping on one of our days. Going to HS 9-2 then MK 5-11 I'm so confused about fp+ I don't know what park to do it for. We really want to ride the rock n roller coaster and tower of terror at HS and mine train is a top priority at MK. It looks as though crowd levels r going to b low at HS and high at MK which made me think i should book FP at MK....but if I book them at HS, I could still get them at MK in the evening right? Can I book them from the app after we use them at HS, or do I have to wait and do it at the MK? I really can't figure these things out.

You can make three FP+ selections for one park ahead of time. After that, you can use the in-park kiosks in whatever park you are then in (same or different, doesn't matter) to make other selections one at a time (you can't make another selection after that until you use it or the time has passed). HS has a tiered system. You can only FP+ one selection from the first group and two from the second. I believe rock 'n roller coaster is the first group and tower of terror is in the second though. Some people change and drop ADR's based on FP+ availability.

I would personally use the FPs at MK. Do rockin roller coaster right away at 9am, then ToT. The waits won't be too bad at that time. Then do the shows and smaller rides that have short waits all the time at HS. That way you can FP at MK and get a few fun rides in on a busy night.

This as long as you don't care about Toy Story Mania. If you do then I'd use my FP in HS. It is tiered as someone mentioned before so you could go right to rock n' roll and FP toy story Mania, tower or terror and something else (maybe star tours or frozen singalong?). When you get to MK you can select another FP but it's highly unlikely something like mine train will be available. If you don't care about TSMM save you FP's for MK

Having Mine Train as a "must do" and not mentioning TSMM, I'd play it safe and make the FP for MK. Since he's at rope drop on a low day, there shouldn't be any problem hitting RnR and ToT without FP, unless you want repeat rides.

Everyone getting the FPs that they want? I got close to all the times I wanted, so I am happy. I couldn't get a SDMT on November 12th though. I couldn't even split us up. That kind of stinks, but I'm glad we got it on other days.

I got just about everything I wanted! I had hoped for mine train on the 11th (our first day), but knew going in that probably wasn't going to happen. I even tried 1 of us at a time and no go. But I did get it for later in our trip and got A&E on our last day at the exact time I wanted! So I'm happy. :)

I'm sorry you guys couldn't get 7DMT on the day/time you want but this makes me sad. My FP+ window isn't for a few more days and only have 1 MK day + 1 party night to try to get that FP+ for that ride. This is stressing me out and making me sad that we may not be even get on it. I thought Nov was supposed to be low crowd date, but then again, I think you guys are going during the F&W festival...right?

Did you look at the dibb calendar? I found it helpful. We only needed 3 spots but it was still accurate for us. The 10th and 13th was completely booked before our time and we could only get a&e on our last full day. We still had good luck with the other things though.

We will be there during the food and wine festival. With the adr so difficult and fp going so quickly, I am a little worried that it might be more crowded than they were predicting.

My FP opens on the 15th...the crowd calendar has my MK day as a 3 and it's a party day so I'm hoping people skip MK that day. 7DMT is one of my FP wish list items so I'm hoping I don't have as much trouble as I'm seeing reported! Sorry for all those that didn't get the FPs they want.

I have a pre-park opening CRT (assuming they don't extend park hours) and was planning on hitting 7dmt right after breakfast but TPs shows even then it's a 30 minute wait. So I thought I'd hit another high wait ride first thing and then FP 7dmt. Do people really think at 9:00 a.m. 7dmt is already a 30 minute wait??

I had an attempted transfer not go through last night. I cancelled while the the other person was repeatedly hitting the search for tables button. I think there are times that are just bad due to the sheer number of people looking then. It is probably best to avoid trying transfers from 6 am- 9 am and 8 pm-11 pm (EST).

I've had two ADR transfers that did not go through. Any suggestions??

My last attempt was also a failure even though I was clicking on that "find a table" button every 5 seconds. What I would do different next time is do it all simultaneously on my desktop, laptop, and iPad then try coordinating at night. That's overkill but I honestly don't have any other ideas.

Good luck and hope you get it next time.

When we went in May TP said the same thing. But there was actually no wait at all. We beat the rope drop crowds and were in the first 7DMT ride of the day. If you can get to the ride before the general rope drop crowd does, you shouldn't have much of a wait. We're attempting it again in Nov, although I've heard it may not be as much of a guarantee as before.

I've read some threads about that as well...where people who finish their ADRs are held and don't get to head to the rides until 9:00 a.m.? Of course, I still think we could beat the rope drop crowds since we have a head start at the castle (CRT) - LOL!! I can't decide if I want to tempt it or not!!! It would be nice to save that FP for another ride later in the day. BTW - what were you thoughts overall about TPs wait times and crowd level predictions to what was really going on in the Parks the days you were there?

@jani3 - just wanted you to see this post as well!!
