For the past week all I've heard is chirping. I replace the battery. Seem to be OK. It's starts chirping after 12 hours. I clean out the smoke alarm and put in another battery seems OK again until night. It starts chirping again. Maybe the batteries I have at home are not good. I purchase a new battery, guess what it's chirping. This chirping is driving me nuts. I guess it's time for a new alarm. On friday I purchase a new smoke alarm, not a cheap one, a good one with a (CO) alarm too.
I install the new alarm with the battery it comes with and go to work. I come home to a alarm thats chirping. The alarm is not sounding, it's the low battery chirp. I go to work yesterday and buy a new lithium battery, install the battery. Seems to be working fine. DH and I go out for a bit-to-eat. I come home to an alarm that is chirping.
Anybody know anything about why this is happening? I am not having problems with any of my other alarms. Could I just have a defective alarm. The old one and the new one???????????
