I just saw this captaion on WDW website. Does this still take place at the WL. Has anyone taken part in this. I am curious when this happens, if it is everynight and if we need to reserve this, or just walk to it. We are staying at the WL. Is Chip and Dale there too?

Chip and Dale's sing a long isn't at the WL it is at Fort Wilderness Campgrounds. You can find more information about it in post #6 on this thread.

This is at Ft. Wilderness. We've done it twice and it is a nice experience. There is a sing-a-long and then a Disney movie. It is held outside every night (weather permitting) and you do not need reservations. Chip & Dale are there. There is also a chuckwagon where you can purchase hot dogs, drinks and marshmallows for roasting. Check out the camping thread for more info and how to get there.

It is open to everyone. Our family really enjoyed this. After a busy day at the parks, this was a nice way to wind down. DD loved roasting marshmallows. The sing a long was fun, too. One evening while watching the outdoor movie we laughed because here we were watching an outdoor movie, while back home it was snowing.

We always stay at the campground and this is our favorite thing to do. I love munching on popcorn and watching the outdoor movie.

oh wow. I knew nothing about this. This seems like something my DS will really enjoy. I hope we have time for it during our trip.

It is okay you'll want to do it at least once. It was a little too commercial for us. They charge for eveything at a concession stand, and the fires are in a few firebowl type pits which is kinda disappointing, it is not like a bonfire or anything. You sit in an outside theatre type area on I think metal benches & of course you have to get there early to get a seat!

I love the idea of this -- it will be our first time at WL in October. Should we bring crazy creek/camp chairs to the movie if we are old farts with back problems?

Hey Tink888, can I bring a beach blanket to sit on? Are there places for that? I know there are benchs, but I think I'd rather sit on the ground than a metal bench.

Also, to grab hot dogs, etc, can you charge that to you room card or do I need to be prepared with cash? I think this is something my DD5 would love and might be great for our first night.

I think there are places off to the sides where you could sit on a blanket. There are wooden benches (no backs) in the front and then in the back there is bleacher seating.

We only bought marshmallows and paid cash so I'm not sure about charging to the room but I don't see why you couldn't since you can do that just about everywhere else.
