What is this??? I read a little bit about it for the first time today, and I'd love to have more information. From the little I've been able to read, it looks like it's a campfire with s'mores and Chip 'n Dale attend??? Is that right? It's at WL??? Can anyone give me more information?

We'll be doing WCC for 6:05 ADRs in June...it looks like this might be something we could maybe consider doing as well?

It's a sing-a-long campfire led by Disney cast members and Chip and Dale are there as well. :) It's at the Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground.

It is easy to get to from WL by boat (just make sure that you get the boat to the campground). Once at Fort Wilderness campground, you can either take a bus to the campfire or walk (the campfire is aways from the boats). There is a sing-a-long, campfire - you can bring your own toasting sticks, marshmellows, etc or they sell the supplies there - and then they show a movie. We haven't stayed for a movie - but we do go for the sing-along and campfire and of course bring our supplies for s'mores.

And if you don't make smores or you bring your own supplies, it is all free!!!! I think you would have a hard time getting there by 8:00 (assuming that is when it starts), but maybe if WCC is moving quickly that night you could at least get there for part of the Sing Along. You could for sure make it to the movie that starts after the Sing Along (but this is also not the only place that shows movies at night).

How crowded is this event? Can you actually get pictures made with Chip n Dale or autographs? This sounds like something my kids might like to do.

Here's some pics from last summer

Right after the sing-a-long portion Chip and Dale walk around and shake hands/pose for pics with everybody in the crowd. It takes aboue 30 minutes and after that its dark enough for the movie to start.

The crowd will vary depending on the time of the year, but I have been during Christmas, and didn't have a problem getting a seat. After the sing along Chip works one side of the crowd and Dale works the other, they walk up and down each row and take pictures and sign autographs. You will not get pictures with both, just one depending on what side you are on. You will have to bring your own camera also.

It is fun for the kids and everyone gets into it.

That sounds awesome!!! So glad to see some pictures...that definitely looks like something our family will enjoy. While at FW, we aren't doing any parks...just going to try all the fun things the campground has to offer. I'm assumming we can drive the golf cart to the Sing-along and there will be somewhere to park??

Anyone know what time this starts in the summer? We'll be there the 1st week of june and are thinking about doing this after our ADR at whispering canyon.

This is one of the not well known experiences that bring joy and are a lot of fun. It truly is magical and is a really neat experience. It runs throughout the year. Even if you have older kids, I still would suggest going. They will like it even if they protest! ;)

I'm trying to book the last of our ADRs at whispering canyon, but the timing of this show would make a difference when I want to eat dinnner. They have 5:00 and 6:50 open. If it's 7, the 5pm adr would be great, but if it's 8 that's a lot of down time... if it's 8 I'm not sure the 6:50 would give us enough time... thoughts?

I think we have been three times now ...the first time we were late and had to sit way back bences but each time after that we would get early so we can get a bench seat. So we sit and wait. I also bring hotdogs for the kids to put over the fire. Chip and Dale split up and go to each row of people for pictures:lovestruc Then we eat smores and watch the movie. Or the kids meet other kids and run around while dh and I watch the movie:rotfl:

We went for the first time on our last trip. I wanted to try some new things. The fmaily wasn't feeling it that night, they were all happily hanging at the pool, but I pulled a mom card and we went. They had a BLAST!!! They said it was one of the best parts of the trip. The night we went (don't know if this is every night) they did a trivia contest. My girls won first place (you worked as a family in teams.) They got a stuffed Chip and Dale that sold for $20 at WoD. It is in our familoy room, I always smile when I see it.

They also had kids come up and sing solos. My ham of a DD9 went up and sang "Part of Your World." She still talks about that. We brought our own s'more things and passed out the extras to the people around us. It was a great night!!!
