It is fun and when I won it made the actual golfers mad! Basically there is a big carpet that is fuzzy and you aim to hit the point areas and stay away from the - points areas. At the end of 3 or 4 rounds the player with the highest score wins.
Depending on who is running it depends on exactly how it is played. I played twice on one cruise and it was different rules each time.
It is fun - I play lots of mini golf so I think that helped me win.
Now that was on the Magic - I did not play on the Dream and they have that golf simulator so it may be totally different on there but you did not say which ship.

chip it golf is the same on the Dream as it is on Magic/Wonder. I watched from the deck above when they played it by the adult pool on my back-2-back cruises
So is this like a bulls eye with point values and you have to get the velcro balls in those point areas? The most points wins? Does this sound right????

Generally yes. Except it isn't a bullseye. It's a golf course type layout. There's an island in the middle that is of course the highest points but it is surrounded by a water hazard which is negative points. There are other green areas worth different points and sand traps and other water hazards that are negative points.

well on my back-2-back cruise on the Dream no kids played on the 3 day cruise so don't know if it was adults only it was on the deck above the adult pool so maybe kids couldn't play. On the 4 night they had it twice, once no one play, this was on nassau day again right above the adult pool, so in the adult section and on the sea it was under Just for Adult in the navigator so that day only for adults
the first time we played it, there was an adults only bonus round, because they had to chip it from the bottom of the atrium, the ball had to hit the 5th floor balcony, then bounce back onto the mat.
i was wondering what would have happened if someone had hit the chandelier!
