Has anyone been to chip & dale's lately. How was the food? Is the character interaction like crystal palace's?

I am trying to choose between dinner at C & D's or Donald's Breakfastaurus at AK. Any suggestions?

I've been 3 times and have really enjoyed the character interaction all 3 times. The restaurant is circular and rotates as you eat. There are 2 levels and only one row of tables on each level. I find the character interaction is a bit more private in this setting. There aren't tables on all 4 sides of you waiting on the characters.

I really enjoyed the food on 2 of the 3 visits. It wasn't a great for a very late lunch. I like that the food is served family style. More relaxing for the parents. The kids get to decorate their own cupcake so that keeps them busy so the adults can enjoy their dessert.

I have also been to Donald's breakfast. I found the character interaction rushed at that meal and the food was just OK but they did have Krispy Kreeme donuts. ;)

We ate at GG in May. The character interaction was really good, all the characters came by two or three times. The food was fine, not 5 star but good. My son always requests this restaurant, he likes the atmosphere and the food. He requested the children's chicken tenders and fries even though he was 10, no problem just have to pay the adult price. The kid's dessert is now a decorate-your-own cupcake. We are going back for the CP package on Christmas Eve.

We have also been to both of these places. I vote (and my kids too) for GG hands down. Donalds was ok. I also felt rushed and the food was so so. I would go back some day but GG is a most do and the characters are awesome!

GG, no question. The characters give you much better attention, and i liked the food alot better. IMO.

I love Garden Grill, I ate there last year for my birthday, ate there in March, and will be eating here again in both September and December of this year, possible November as well.
The Character interaction is fun. I like to request a booth on the lower level, I feel there is more space for the characters to be funny.

We tried the Garden Grille for the first time last week. It actually was a spur of the moment decision and they had an opening. I was pleasantly surprised - the food was really good, the dessert was to die for and the character interaction was very good. It seemed more personalized since the booths are separated so it appears that the characters are actually interacting only with your children.

Thank you all for your comments.

I have one other question involving the two restaurants, what characters appear at the GG and what characters appear at Donald's?

We ate there for dinner. I loved it! It was very good food, and the characters were great. It was me, my parents, and my older brother, and we were all older. But the characters still stopped by for pictures and just poking fun at my dad and brother. It was great! And I loved how the place rotated as you eat. You weren't staring at the same thing the whole time!

From dim memory: GG: Chip, Dale, Mickey, Pluto. DB: Donald, Mickey, Goofy, Pluto. I'm probably wrong on one or two, but you get the general idea.

We really enjoy GG because the food there always seems like a nice break from "theme park standard" without being fussy, but still a bit up the scale from comfort-food kitsch (LTT, 50sPT). Plus, the chef there knows his way around a vegetable---crisp-tender, and fresh.

GG-Chip, Dale, Mickey, Pluto all in Farmer gear
I haven't eaten at Donald's yet, and since it is moving in Novemember it may change.
donalds (what I've seen photos)- Donald, Mickey, Pluto, and Goofy.

We ate there in September and found the food disgusting (the meats). We spent a fortune and truly there was really nothing we liked (and my husband is not picky at all). The table in front of us had food just as ours did and they were none eating it either. We saw their server bring them mac & cheese and chicken strips. We ask our server and she brought it for us as well. It was good. We did end up getting full on this but boy, what expensive cheap food it was! The characters are cute. We were seated in the inside (a bit upper leavel) and you could not see most of the set as it revolved around. If you are going there, request to sit on the outer booth seat level, not inner table level as you end up missing the surroundings.
