Being almost 70, I have facial wrinkles that I understand are part of my personality now, hahaha. However, I've started noticing some "fine lines" around my mouth and eyes that I'd like to try to combat. Does anyone use a facial wrinkle cream that they have found effective? I know it's not gonna make them disappear, but if they'd slow down a bit, that'd be good!

Sorry to say that nothing really works. You can get a very rich moisturizer that might "soften" the look but when you're up there in age, it generally takes fillers or surgery to do anything. Look for hyaularonic acid and other heavy emollients. I think there are those in the 30 y/o age range who can see differences with some of the products, but that only helps for so long. I have heard that if you have a prescription for estradiol cream (for areas below the waist, lol), that a little bit on the face can be rejuvenating.

All are a waste of $$ in my opinion! I get irritated when I hear "anti aging" as really? No one can stop that train! My Scottish grandma used Jergens forever and had beautiful skin in her 90's, so cheap might be worth a try. Before bed is the time to use it IMO! Good luck and let us know how it works!

:rolleyes1

I went looking for new face creams a few years ago when I needed to cut parabens and other xenoestrogens from my environment. I found the NatureWell line (available at Sams Club, Amazon, etc.) and tried a few of their products. I found I really liked their Vitamin C cream, so I use it daily. It has kept my skin soft and bright (absolutely no brown spots anymore.) For a night cream, they have a retinol lotion that works really well too. Wrinkles have really slowed down since I've started using it. Prices are very reasonable ($15 for a tub of it at Sams).

Aw, that reminds me of my mom. She always used Jergens on her body and Ponds cold cream on her face. She had the most gorgeous skin. There must be something to simple products that have been around forever.

I believe that the secret is consistency. I started using face cream when I was in high school and have only missed a few nights because I was sick. Now, at age 78, I have very few wrinkles. I use Olay Regenerist now, but have used others. I also only wash my face in the evening; in the morning, I just wipe my face with a warm facecloth.

There are a lot of factors that can go into wrinkles - besides age, there is smoking, UV exposure, but also simply your genes.

I have some around my mouth area, but don't care enough to do anything about it. Same with the graying hair. I have no problem looking my age and have no one I need to impress with my looks!
