Silly question ,hope its my last.Had my new NW ccard and suddenly thought.do they have Chip and Pin in the states or is it the old paw print still:confused3 .

So far in 14 years I have used PIN # at Burger King once and Publix every visit for about the last year. Apart from that its still autograph everywhere we have been. They might catch up in a few year.

Used my Nationwide credit card about 50 times when we were there and I was only asked to use chip and pin once, in the cirque de soleil shop on our last day. I was asked a few times if i wanted the transaction put through in dollars or pounds though!

Dollars, the exchange rate is not as good if you ask for pounds, hopefully someone can post with more detail, I have never been asked just always gone thru in Dollars.

Thanks for that Wayne. What a cheek just doing it without even asking the customer.I makes me wonder if I should ask at the till that they are charging me in dollars:confused3 They will probably look at me gone out:lmao: I am hoping not to use it too much as already have currency before getting the card:headache: -well thats what I have told DH anyway:rotfl2:

My NW CC never asked for pin but dw's debit card when my cc got stopped (cos me and dw kept using the cards at the same times in different shops) asked her for it

Always check what you are signing, as I said all my transactions have always been in Dollars so not much to worry about just have a quick look at the bill.

thought with the electonic signing that it stores up how you sign, the more you sign the more it has a chance to stop fraud on your card

The way I sign when confronted with a screen and a pen on a leash, that's just not quite long enough, each time I have to look at the resultant scrawl and hope it looks close enough to the real thing.

I'm guessing that someone with the card could probably learn the signature and do just as good a job.

What I want to see is chip, pin and signature. If it doesn't have the signature then it probably wasn't me. If it doesn't have the PIN then it may not have been me. All together and there's a high chance that it was me.

I am so with you on this - it would only take a few seconds longer but gives better protection.

Never been asked for a PIN yet - and as for my sig on those electronic pads :lmao:

Where are these electronic pads? never come across them.

take youve not shoped then wane:rotfl2: super target has them, you swipe your card(so card never leaves you) as they are doing your food sign and all done before last item off convaer belt before its baged.

In 14 years and about 17 visits to Orlando I have bought Trainers in Reebok shop this Easter. We go to Disney outlets often and Publix for snax and that is it. None of them use the pads.
All of us hate shopping.
