If I take the boat/ferry from MK to the FW beach, how easy it it to find the Chip and Dale Sing a long camp fire.... I heard it is by the meadow trading post, but I don't know where that is either....

HELP!

Basically when you get off the boat you can either walk or ride the bus to the campfire. Just ask a cast member and they will direct you. It's really easy to find and you will have a great time.

Ignore Jim - he' our comfortable curmedgeon! :happytv:

FW is laid out in a long oval with two main roads (either side of the oval) that have colored bus lines that serve them. When you get off the boat and walk up past Pioneer Hall (with the Hoop Dee Doo Review) and Trail's End restaurant you keep walking up to the bus depot. Ask any of the drivers which line will take you to the campfire or also ask for the Meadow Trading Post (it's almost smack dab in the middle of the Fort). The Meadow TP and Bike Barn and Sing-a-long/Movie area are all together.

I'm a big fan of the Sing-a-long and movie especially for kids. No need to push or shove as Chip and Dale work one half of the area to pose for photos or give autographs (although you can get one side done early by sitting up front then slip over to the other side near the back and get the other one).

There is a Chuck Wagon behind the bleachers that sells sticks and marshmellows (plus Hersheys and grahams if you want to make smores) for what-i-think-is-a reasonable-by-disney-standards price. So come early to get stocked up!

It's open to all resort guests so come and enjoy and ignore Jim (ftwildernessguy) -just like I do :rolleyes1

what time do they have the sign along? Do you have to get a res.or is this something they do every night? My first trip to disney in 86 we stayed at FW and i loved it. This would something I would bring my 5 yr old to in august. i believe when i was there in 86 they showed Song of the South, which is the last time I saw that classic movie.
Thanks for any info.

where can we see the outdoor movie schedule for Sept/Oct? is it posted online somewhere in advance? thanks!

I was told it starts at 8 in the summer months..... :confused3 is that right?

Other resorts have movies on the beach at 8..... so maybe Chip and Dale show up a bit earlier?

The singalong does start at 8 in the summer. I believe they light the fires at 730, singalong at 8, movie at 845. ChipnDale show up sometime towards the middle of the singalong.
I have never seen the movie schedule published any earlier than a few days before the beginning of the month. I can pretty much guarantee you won't see Song of the South, though! :lmao:
And no, you don't need reservations, it's open to all WDW resort guests.

It's usually posted on the boards, if that helps. You can always go to the outpost and ask for a copy of the movie schedule.
