Mmmm that sounds good, we had "fried" chicken breast (breaded and fried but without massive amounts of oil, au gratin potatoes, and biscuits. It was pretty good but you've definitely got me beat!

Have you ever wondered???

We call it "chinese food"...

Do the Chinese call our food "American food"?

Don't we call our food American too? If you look at restaurant listings there is often an American category.

The chinese food does sound yummy!

my absolute favorite is chicken fried rice or sweet and sour chicken. :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

I work in a Chinese Restaurant so I am around this stuff all day long!!:p

I really love Lo Mein and Crab Rangoons the best!! :)

Bean! You aren't eating crab rangoons anymore, are you?

We finally found a Chinese restaurant in Detroit that will prepare dishes without sugar and/or corn starch. My husband loves beef chop suey and I love chicken kow :)

Kath, you mean CARB rangoons, right?? ;) Nope, none for me, I haven't had one for awhile, but I did love them when I could eat them!! :) I need to come visit you so you can take me to that place!! I haven't had any real chinese for awhile and I miss it! LOL

ok....I happen to be chinese (well, i'm a little over half chinese, my father is half french, part english, german, pretty much a little of everything so I guess that makes me a little over half chinese and then part mutt :) )

My question is:What in the world is Crab Rangoons???

ohhh chinese food sounds SOO good.

There are not good chinese places around school and the best one back home is being redone.

Crab Rangoons- deep fried dumplings with crab/cream cheese
stuffing. Triangle shaped.
YUMMO Be DUMMO!

Hmmmm....Crab Rangoons - crab meat with cream cheese and triangle shaped that's deep fried??? Still never heard of it. I'll have to ask my grandmother if my grandfather had these in his resturant. Maybe we don't have these in the north east. Now I'm curious and will have to try one (if I can find them around here:D )

I've never seen a crab rangoon on any Chinatown menu. my guess is they are as "Chinese" as chop suey, which is to say, American.

anyone want to share an order of kung pao chicken? or maybe we can go out for some dim sum.

Who cares where they are from, they are delicious! I would eat them anywhere... (I have never seen them anywhere but a chinese restaurant, though)
