Chilly towels

Correct, they do not drip and your clothes, pillow or whatever you have it on will feel "wet" but, you aren't. They are the best things to use in heat..

I just wanted to say thank you to OP & everyone else who contributed to this thread. :goodvibes I've ordered a Frogg Togg Sport towel from Amazon.com & it's on its way to me for my upcoming August trip. At first I didn't like the idea of wearing something around my neck all day in the parks & what I'd do with it on rides like RnR (I do not carry a bag & will not put something like this in the netting on the ride). But it sounds like it will make a huge difference in my comfort so I will deal with it. I'm looking forward to its first use soon! :cool1:

The Frogg Togg chill pads so worth the cost-got 3 for my family of 5 (cut one in 1/2 the long way for the younger kids and DH didn't want one). Me and kids would have been miserable in June heat without them! We had several people ask about them too, especially if they really work-I just let them feel it for a minute (it always feels cool) and they were sold. Since it can get just as hot here in MO in summers will be using it on my deck this summer.
Really should look into buying stock...or seeing if I can buy wholesale and charge double in parking lot to finance next trip LOL

Silly question, but there are so many choices of Frogg Togg (Dana, Towel, Pad etc) and I don't know which to order if two adults and one small child want one each to wear around our necks! Advice? Also, do you need to fasten them around your neck? I'm having a hard time imagining what they look like.

We have frog togs. Dh, myself, ds 11, dd 9, and tiny dd 4. We bought the dds two small size ones and dh and ds one large one that we cut in half and ended with two the same size as dds (if that makes sense - I think u get away with buying 1 lg 1 sm and have enough for everyone.

We never tied them on our necks but just laid them around neck and on shoulders.

I wonder how long it is going to take before WDW starts selling them in their gift shops?????

I'm interested in the answer to which version everyone is getting. I too saw the different wording Pad, Towel and such.

I use those when it's hot in the house and put them on my pillow:) And yesterday, my grandson had a high fever and I used them to help cool him down...I'm sure there are more ways to use them but, at Disney they are truly a God send...

Thanks for all the awesome reviews! I'm looking into these for my upcoming August trip!

I am seeing these everywhere now and wondering how much the brands vary in effectiveness. The prices are very different between Walgreens, target, sporting goods stores, etc.

After reading these theads I asked for (and received) a frog togg for Christmas. However I guess I am confused. Do you wear it outside your clothes or under your shirt? Or do you just hang it around your next, which sounds heavy & sticky.

Also confused about the post about the pillow. Are you meaning you can put the wet towel on your pillow and it won't get wet?

you wear it around your neck on the outside of your clothes. Not heavy and sticky at all. Very light weight and comfy even when wet

I saw the chilly towels for sale at the pin kiosk in Tomorrowland (if I'm not mistaken) in May. I thought about buying one but I wasn't sure how well it worked. I believe it was 8 dollars.

I posted this on another thread, I bought a cheap version of these at the $ store and tried one last week. Never tried Frogg Toggs before so can't compare yet, but this $ store one really made a difference! Wore it on my walk, walked for 1.5 hours and it stayed wet/cool. I do NOT like heat (or exercise lol) and am usually dripping with sweat not far into my walk, but wearing this around my neck I was very comfortable the whole time and really only started sweating a little maybe the last 15 minutes. It was about 90 degrees and humid-nothing like Fla. humid as I'm in NY but still not comfortable walking weather! The only negative is I think it's quite a bit smaller than the Frogg Toggs. I definitely don't think you can cut it in half, but for a dollar it's not a big deal.

I did buy a Frogg Togg yesterday and am going to try that soon to see what the difference is besides size, if there is any. Just thought I'd post so if any of you see them, you may want to give one a try before your trip:thumbsup2

I think the WDW version is more disposable and less durable. Can't imagine cheapy dollar store knockoff has the same durability as the name brand Frogg togg-but if not planning using again may not matter. Love my FT (bought the "towel" version-larger size- a bit longer but narrower than standard bath "hand" towel.) Used the FT on June trip and several times since when working in yard, garden etc and is holding up very well.

It is very possible the $ store one isn't as durable as the regular Frogg Togg, that's why I bought a FT to try, too:thumbsup2 But when I saw the ones in the $ store I was just curious. So far I've used the cheap one 5x and it's holding up! But like I said it isn't real big so definitely can't cut in half.

I bought my Frogg Toggs Chilly Pad cooling towel yesterday at Bed Bath and Beyond. Of course I forgot my coupon, but it was $12.99.

I just cut it in half and put it in a ziplock bag.

It's in my park bag now and I can't wait to try it out when we are at WDW in 10 days!

I was at Ocean State Job Lots today and got 4 Frogg Tog towels for $3.99 each. Unfortunately I had to get 3 pink and could only find 1 blue.

But I'm going to try to go back tomorrow or Monday since I just did a quick impulse grab as I was checking out and saw the ad in the flyer and ran and just grabbed 4. I hope I can get a couple other colors than pink because I'm directing a Vacation Bible School and these are big enough to cut into multiples to cool off some over heating kids and I know the boys are not going to be happy about pink.

Just thought I would post on this thread because I know people are spending over $10 for them and if you have this store near you.......
