Sad news.

A childhood friend died of cancer yesterday. She was 29. I'm going to the funeral on thursday.

That is sad. Sorry to hear that. My prom date (who I lost touch with after high school) passed away a few years ago from cancer. It's very sad....

I'm sorry to hear that. Are you doing education?

I'm doing Walden online. You should look into it....it's very easy to be accepted into and the work is not too demanding (so far). Plus, being online, I get to choose when to do the work and don't have to worry about making it to class on time.

Apparently there were too many applications for the thesis program.

I read about Captain EO coming back a few days ago!! I only saw it once on my first trip and can hardly remember it... I wonder if it'll still be there in December - I tried to explain it to DF "well - it's Michael Jackson, science fiction, musical... directed by George Lucas... "

I remember watching the Little Mermaid when it first came out and thinking Ariel was sooo grown up & old - because she was 16, and I was 6!

Hi Everyone,

Just edited my signature. We don't have bookings yet, but when we go down to Florida to bring my son to college, after he's all settled in, we're driving the hour west and heading to the World. What I want to do is take advantage of my AP passholder savings that go through the 14th of August, so we could stay the 11th through the 14th at a value or moderate, then do a points transfer for 3 or 4 nights at Beach Club Villas. I've always wanted to stay there. Then we're planning to come back for Thanksgiving, we'd arrive on a Sunday, then pick up my son from college and bring him back to our resort for a few days, then return him to school. I'm out of DVC points for the year, so this all hinges on if I can get a point transfer. My friend's brother has points available that he has up for rent, so if he's willing it would work out perfectly. Then at Thanksgiving, we'd stay with my sister's family in a 2 bedroom villa or a Tree house villa.

I hope my friends brother calls me back.. I left him a message yesterday... he hasn't called yet. I hope the points are still available.. I don't want to bug him though.

March 3.

I woke up early that morning. I knew our vacation was coming to an end and I wanted to get the most out of it.

My mom decided to let me leave for AK alone. She'd phone to tell me when she was coming.

So as soon as I walked into AK, I wanted to have breakfast. I was hungry. So I went to Pizzafari and got some coffee and something else I don't remember. I had never been there before. I loved the decor and decided to take lotsa pictures of the place. I knew I wanted to create a mural with my students with these pictures as inspiration.

After my nice relaxing breakfast (though people kept looking at me wrong because I was alone. I never feel selconcious for being alone, but they did make me feel that way then) I walked around and saw.....................DeVine!!! I had never seen her!

I was walking around and was a bit miserable. It was sooooooooooooooo cold!! I was starting to freeze. And I was almost done with my coffee. That wasn't good. Plus, the sky was starting to look menacing.

But I sucked it up, and started walking around.

I decided to check out the Maharajah Jungle trek. I wanted to see the Komodo Dragons.

Well guess what. It was so darn cold, that they didn't want to come out. What??? I am freezing and they won'T come out?

I continued walking around and saw some other pals who were braving the cold, like I was.

Then I wanted to see the bats. I'm not really a fan of them, but to see them behind an enclosed space is ok with me.

Well...... it was too cold for them to come out. I was getting a bit sour.

I stopped to see the tigers. I was mesmerized. I love them hehe

I slowly made my way out of the path.

I walked around, and went to see the screaming monkeys.

I then received a call from my mom saying she wasn't going to meet me. To take my time. We might be going to Downtown Disney later. Or do whatever I wanted.

As she was saying that, I heard: Last call for Finding Nemo the musical.

I didn't really intend on going in at first. But as it was starting to rain and I had no umbrella with me, well I decided it was now or never.

So I walked in. And almost as soon as I got in, the show started. And..... I LOVED IT!!!!!

I wanna go back. I wanted to get the soundtrack, but couldn'T find it.

After the show, I walked around a bit. Found my friend her Stitch. And found myself a necklace. But I was sooooooooooo freezing and miserable at that time, that I decided to call it a day.

I went back to the hotel, and took a bath. It was too cold outside. I didn't want to go back out there.

I don't remember what we did the rest of the night. But I know I didn't really go back out. Maybe just to get something to eat. But that's it.

That stinks that it was so cold. But it sounds like you had a nice relaxing day. Soooo cool that you finally got to see DeVine. Too bad about the animals in the jungle trek. We were able to see Finding Nemo in the same way. Didn't really want to wait on line but walked by as they were saying last call so we went in. It really was great.

Soooo cute! Look at his feet! I wish they weren't so ferocious because I want to scratch his belly!

Looks like a nice (but cold!) day in AK.

I love the jungle trek with the tigers.. this will sound silly, but when I see them there it makes me realise they really are 'big cats'.. look so cute - I'm sure they're not though!!

Glad you enjoyed the Nemo musical! I really love it but DF is not keen at all.

I picked up the soundtrack in DTD, it was only about $9 I think! Great songs on there - I really like Crush's song "Go with the flow"
