Chili's Restaurant.

We used to love Chili's, not so much any longer. They have taken some of our favorites off the menu. Oh well.

We like Chilis ok. The quesadilla explosion salad is so good.

They also have a dessert that we call crack cake. It's the chocolate molten lava cake. I don't even like chocolate that much but it is to die for good!!

What did you have to eat? ***tapping foot***

I absolutely LOVE their beef quesadillas!!:cool1:
The beef is steak quality-YUM!!

Since our Applebee's closed Chili's has become the restaurant we go to when we just want to go out without any real plans for dinner. The kids like their menu, I like their salads and dh loves the fajitas. I think they have great service too, way better than Applebee's ever had.
Ours is fairly new, opened within the last 2 years and is pretty busy.

Does your cardiologist know you are eating things like ribs and scrapple? Don't waste the second chance you've been given.

We're a big Chili's family too. We go early to beat the crowds. I adore thier Queso and salsa...I really wish you could buy their salsa somewhere, it's the favorite in this house. I get the Buffalo Chicken salad...it's a whole head of lettuce with stuff on it. It's fantastic. My husband like their soups.

I love the salasa, too!

You can buy some to take home while you're there. Our servers often pack up salsa and chips for home. They'll even bring a little extra for you.

Best thing I like about Chilis is lunch. They have a soup/salad lunch and I always get the Chicken Enchilada Soup with a Ceasar salad. Comes with chips and salsa for about $6. And it's all you can eat. Mmmm..aybe I can talk DH into lunch one day this week:rolleyes1

Chili's is one of our regular restaurants. The bottomless chips/salsa is inexpensive and satisfies everyone. And the menu has enough to keep everyone happy.

In response to the comment about nothing on the menu being under 1000 calories, I do WW and I choose the guiltless chicken platter. It's about 580 calories, but if you point it out, it's 12 points (I don't bother to eat the ear of corn so I deduct a point off of that number). The chicken breast is a nice size and grilled so no oil or butter, with mixed veggies, rice and the aforementioned ear of corn. Not a bad choice for eating out.

The only reason I might choose Applebee's is because of their WW menu items. Easy to point out there.

Ours is usually crowded, with Saturday being particularly busy. We went last night, got there at a bit after 5 (we usually try to get there before 6) and the place was incredibly busy. Apparently they had just seated several big groups and told us if we wanted a 6 top table (we were 5) it would be about 25 minutes. We asked for a 4 booth with a chair at the end and only waited about 10 minutes. By the time we left, it was SRO at the front.

Ours is really hit or miss. The last time we were there is was a real miss, so it will be awhile before we go back.

It's not my favorite, but it is good for bringing the entire family. We usually take my Gram out for lunch once a week or so, and trying to find some place we can bring my son easily, and also find her something to eat, Chili's works well.

LOVE the southwest eggrolls.

Just went last night. I love their burgers but my favorite item is the fajita quesadilla. Two of my favorite foods in one. It's awesome.

And again their chips and salsa can't be beat. We got some last night and the chips were always freshly cooked and lightly salted. Just can't be beat.

I like Chili's - we tend to go to locally owned places, but Chili's is one of the better chain restaurants of its type for sure. Applebee's sucks and I refuse to eat there. ever. I have 2 or 3 things at Chili's that I usually get. We don't go often because DD10 really doesn't like anything there. DH and I will go once or twice a year, and I meet girlfriends there sometimes.

I LOVE their blended strawberry margaritas, they are potent and not too sweet. Best I've ever had. For food, I usually get the Buffalo Ranch Chicken sandwich with extra buffalo sauce on the side, and black beans instead of fries. I hate seasoned fries. The other entree I order is chicken quesadillas with double black beans and no rice.

my favorite appetizer is the "old version" of chicken nachos. They will still make these by request.

Mmmmmm...Loove their Buffalo Chicken Salad. :lovestruc I think I'm drooling now.

We just got a new Chiliis.I live in Southern California so I had to snort that people love their chips and salsa so much. We can do much better at the local places around here for that. I don't like nearly anything on their menu. I am not that much of a meat eater. I will eat taquitos or flautas but they don't have those. My kids one of whom is vegetarian all had trouble finding something they liked to eat. But if someone wants to go back that is fine I will just drink my dinner. Their margis were just fine.:rotfl:

We feel that they're a step above Denny's & Applebee's (at least around here).

Ditto. I really don't care for chain restaurants anymore. I do like the "Quesadilla Explosion" salad though.;)

Now that I am back in St. Louis MO, I am going to non-chain places I used to take for granted.:thumbsup2

In fact, just got back from Iggy's a local Mexican place.

Last week we went to "The Hill" (Italian area in St. Louis) and went to Rigazzi's. Excellent....:thumbsup2

Well I don't go there but I did make the boneless chicken wings- rip off recipe tonite and it was yummy!

I used to like Chili's, but I avoid them like the plague now.

The decor needs updating, and the place is always sticky and dirty. The menu never seems to have exactly what I want on it either.

There are plenty of restaurants near me that are impeccably clean, well-cared-for, and have a menu that changes with the season. I'll stick with those until something changes for Chili's.
