Just got our DD5's photo done. Kinko's will not try to do children under five. Any suggestions of how/where to get DS2's photo done?

Costco is like 4-5 bucks. I don't remember an age limit. It was quick and easy.

Thanks for the tips. For future reference for all of you, Kinko's was actually quite rude about children's photos.

We had our 2 year old DD's photos taken at Costco & they were very accomodating - taking 5 or 6 digital photos until we got a good one. And they were cheep.

Good Luck.

A lot of travel/luggage shops do passport photos.

we also had our pictures dd-1 and dd-5 done at costco. It was quick easy and inexpensive.

I did both of ours (DD4 and DS1 at the time) on our digital camera and printed at home. If you don't have a photo-capable printer, you can use one of those kiosks at a drugstore to print that size, too. It was quick and cheap, and I could keep taking pix until I knew I had one that was acceptable, especially with DS in his car seat with a white sheet draped over it!

My DD's photo was taken at CVS and it was quick and painless. Now to get the passport and put out all those $$'s.....................

Costco was $5 for 2 pictures and they took both my 3 and 7 yo pictures. Make sure both of your son's eye are wide open when the pic is taken. My DS7 had one eye almost shut (he tends to squint when he smiles, one eye more so than the other) and the passport office rejected the picture. I had to pay $15 at the post office for a picture of a much lesser quality! :)

If I were doing it over, I'd have taken them myself and cut them to the 2" size. There's no reason you can't...I think we just assume it's not okay, sometimes. (I happen to be a scrapbooker and I even have the same 2" square punch the guy at Kinko's used!) Also, some of the passport-issuing offices do them for just a few dollars. (Our town had two locations: the post office and city hall, and both would take the photo for $7.

If you're taking the photo yourself you need to review the requirements on the passport agency website first as they have specific details on the characterics of the photo. For example, the face has to be between a certain size, so you need to be a certain distance a way and I believe the background has to be white. After reading the details I just decided it was worth my $5 at Costco. Eeyorefan12-I can't believe how cheap it is at your towns post office! Ours was $15 which is just highway robbery...the passport fees are high enough as it is!

We had our DDs done at Sears when we were getting other pictures taken.
