does anyone know if you are entitled to the same discounts with a child annual pass as an adult? Can you get dde card if it is a child ap, can you get room discounts, and discounts to anything else that would apply? or do those discount perks only apply to an adult ap? thanks for any help!!

Since you have to be 21 to get a DDE card, I would say no.

From the AP website regarding AP rates:
"Passholder must present his or her valid adult Pass at check in."

Since you must be 18 to book a room at Disney I would believe that a child's AP would not work for the discount. Just checked my AP, what Minniegirl33 said!

In the past you were able to use a child's AP to book rooms to get the AP discount. However, that changed about a year ago. That is probably what you are remembering. A child's AP gets the child into the parks, that's it. An adult AP is necessary for all the discount type things.

thanks everyone for the answers!! i guess I should have known about the room discount, since they aren't old enought to be able to checkin, but I never knew about the age limit on DDE. I learn something new everyday on these boards!! Just when I think I know alot about disney, either it all changes, or there is new stuff!!
