Children's ID for flights

What sort of identification do I need to bring for my children, if any?
From http://blog.tsa.gov/2010/06/traveling-with-kids.html

ID Questions: If your child is younger than 18, they are not required to have ID to travel. They’ll just need their boarding pass.

If your child has an airfare with an age restriction (rare), your airline might require an ID. But that would be a rare exception.

Also, if a 17-year-old looks 23, it might be good idea to have an ID available.

An under 2 traveling as a lapbaby requires a birth certificate to prove age.
