Mine must've been something else, because it wasn't rounded, like those Bermuda bags. We had to send away for the nameplate, and it had sticky on the back to adhere to the spot on the handle for it. All the girls here had them.
Must've been a Kentucky thing, I guess.
As for Tretorns, they weren't exactly made for wide feet -- I always had "blow outs" on the side, which would drive my mom nuts. A month or two after wearing them, and I'd have a hole in the side of them.
We also had Eastlands in late-middle to early high school with the shoestrings all curlied up (I never knew how to do that). You wore them with TWO pairs of socks in different colors layered over-top of one another with your tight-rolled jeans and t-shirts with t-shirt clips on them. HOT!
I always had pants that were too long on me because I was petite and my tight-rolls were HUGE.
