Ashley disney world binder.jpg
Ashley binder 3.jpg so I need yall honest opinon. We wil be going to disney soon and I have my binder. My daughters like to have whatever I have so I made them one also as a surpise they don't know we are going yet. I'm planning on leting Tinkerbell pack there bags with thier binders waiting for them. I've only got two pages done. Please let me know what you think

I love this idea!!! We are surprising our kids with a trip in September and I was just telling hubby last night that I want to make some sort of binder for our daughter (she will be 8 on the trip) to know what we are doing each day.... this gives me a good idea of where to start!

I did something similar for DD but I added areas for her to journal. Sometimes we read the journal as a bedtime story, and it's great to get her perspective from a year ago to now.

That's the only thing I would add/change...

I downloaded GIMP. It took a little getting use to, but now I love it i can't help myself lol. Plus its free

I'm doing something sort of similar. My binder will have all the necessary info and they can use mine all they want. They will have binders based on their ages. For the bigger girls, they will have journals and puzzles to solve as well as website addresses so they can look up stuff on their own. It will also have a list of activities they may want to learn more about to decide if they are interested. Our 5 year old will have color and activity pages with a smaller area for journal entries. I'll include information about autographs, pressed pennies, and world showcase passports as well as coupons for things like an extra ice cream or pin in all of the ones for the girls.

Nowhere in any of the binders will you find info about character meals. While I will include menus and reservation times in my binder, they will not know characters will be there.

I'm thinking they will get the main binder with a golden ticket announcing the trip and their travel shirts at first but since we are leaving right away, I'll give their binders out in the car. They will be getting a little bit of stuff each day. I'm doing a version of Elf on the Shelf and calling it A Mouse in the House one day, A Duck Gone a Muck another day, etc. to help me disperse the rest of our stuff. Their binders are basically for the car trip so no real info is necessary. They will have plenty of crap to carry around without it.

I love it! Awesome idea, this has inspired me to come up with something my older kids can journal in. Last year when we returned all their school journals were basically trip reports!!! It was amazing the details they remembered at such a young age!!

I'm guessing since I am including this site in their binders, the bigger girls will be inspired to do a trip report. Maybe it could be about how they survived a Disney trip that is mostly targeted for a 5 year old and what its like to stay off site.
