Childfree Disney fans?

A funny thing happened on our trip to Disney last month. We arrived at the AKL at 7:00 am and were riding the elevator when a father and three children got on the elevator. The father looked and DH and myself with a confused expression on his face and said "Where are your kids?" and we said "We don't have any." and he said "What are you doing here?" I was very tired after flying from Alaska all night and I noticed that he looked even more tired than me (probably run ragged by the rugrats) my response was "having more fun than we ever imagined possible." He got off the elevator and ran after his children yelling at them, we got off the elevator and made our way to the spa for our swedish massage appointments. Ahhh we love Disney World.

Great response!! I'll have to remember that one. If you don't mind me asking, where in Alaska do you live? DH and I have been twice and would LOVE to live there, but a real concern is the distance to WDW. Priorities, ya know. :P

We live about an hours drive north of Anchorage in a little town called Wasilla. We love it here. Our trip to WDW in Nov was our first and we are returning in February. It is a long distance but because of the distance we have to fly (whenever we travel) we always have enough miles to upgrade ourselves to first class, which makes it a lot easier. We were tempted by DVC last trip. It may just be in our future but we do have to take the distance into consideration, even in first class nine hours is a loooonnnggg flight.

My husband and I are childfree and glad right now! Once we have kids, it will not be so easy or affordable to head to Disney as often!! :D

I adore my 2 boys and can't imagine not having had the honor of giving birth to and raising them into the wonderful people they are. That said. they're 18 and 21, away at college and DH and I are doing WDW in Nov '05 without them. We took them twice while they were growing up, and now it's our turn since the only times the two of have been was those two trips with them. It's "our" time (except for the cost of having two in college at the same time) now and we're enjoying it. We love when they come home, but we also love our freedom. We also enjoy watching others with their children since they can be so cute, but also their tantrums and diapers aren't our responsibility. Been there, done that. Will enjoy grandchildren, but now is time for us.

I too am child-free, and soon to be spouse-free (and in all likelihood house-free and cash-free). Oh well, as long as I have WDW for three or so weeks out of the year I'm happy.

Hello~

I'm single, and child free (unless if you count when my friend (when she visits me in Orlando) and gets cranky and acts like a big whiney baby) LOL sorry, just had to say that!

I'm child free and loving it for now. However I feel 24 is too young for me to have kids yet :P. Although I'm excited for when I do have to kids to bring them to WDW (although I'm worried it will ruin my xp!). <---spoken like a true single person with no kids :P.

Ok all we between us have six countem 6 children. Ranging from 18 down to 4 and yes we are being BAD BAD parents and running off to the World for our anniversary in June
( WE honeymooned there two years ago.)

No kids, no pets, can barely keep houseplants alive, much less another human being.

I'm 36 and hubby is 39. We don't have children, nor do we plan to have children. We LOVE to travel, and discovered our passion for WDW in May 2002. Neither of us had been as kids, and we were amazed by how relaxing and enjoyable this particular vacation was for us. Of course, it helped that we were staying at AKL and had a package with wishes. We took full advantage of using our wishes at nice restaurants for dinner, and we used some for massages too. I knew we were somewhere special when my husband was "truly relaxed." Needless to say, we've been back a crazy number of times since, and we are the proud owners of DVC BCV, HH, and SSR points!

oh gosh yes. As you can see from my siggy line, my dh and I are fanatics about disney!

DH and I are child free too. We go on our Disney trips with our best friends who are also child free (we all have cats though, 2 each!!) We visited Disneyland Paris on our honeymoon and have been to WDW once with our friends last year and to Disneyland Paris with our friends this year. We are going to WDW with them next year for christmas. I love kids (I spend my day teaching 9 - 11 year olds who I love spending time with.) but am child free by choice (I am 28, DH is 29). We also love to travel, especially to America.

Child-free here, and I'm a Disney freak!!! I just love it. DH and I want to start "trying" for a baby in Aug -Oct. '05. We're enjoying our freedom now, though ;)!

:wave2:

Child free by necessity. I'm a divorced dad with two kids. DD lives with their mother. DS is in college. I have taken them to WDW but it has been hard to work out schedules for another trip. So, since I have a major case of Disney fever I'm going solo. Soon!!! Can't wait for a week with Mickey! :earsboy: :bounce:

HAPPILY married and child-free! Neither I or my husband want kids, and he got, ahem, "fixed", before we got married. We LOVE Disney and couldn't imagine enjoying ourselves chasing children around.

Just bumping this up! It's been a while.

As a refresher, DH and I are 34 (him) and 32 (me). We are blissfully childfree. We do have 2 pugs, who are our babies - we don't need kids as these pooches are a handful and more!

I do love kids, and can't wait to be an aunt!

Hubby and I are 8 yrs married and child free Disney lovers. We are going on our next trip in Nov. We have gone with friends and their children before and had a great time. But we love going with just the two of us more. :earboy2:
