Childcare options for offsite?

We are heading down on Sunday and my DW wanted me to find out if there are any childcare facilities at Disney that are not resort specific. We are staying at the Wyndham Palms and wouldnt mind some time alone

I think the resort may have something, but wasnt sure about disney.

There used to be a Kinder-Care on WDW property off of Buena Vista Drive near the Wyndham Spa and resort. I do not know if it is still there.

Fairy Godmothers (reviewed on the page from Deb's posted by Gail) was great for us. I would guess they work off-site but don't know for sure. They are not official Disney babysitting providers or anything, but good and easy to use nonetheless.

We have used FGmothers twice and will do so again. Ask for Helen, my DS used to think she was his grandmother. ha

They are really great and don't let the gruff sounding woman on the phone throw you off. The sitters are fantastic.
