I reiterate: even if a child does say that, the gate agent won't blink an eye.

Agreed. Just imagine the outrage on social media if security was called over to interrogate a child who had blurted out his or her age.

I am a TA. In all of our training we have been told the following: If you've booked a package with hotel and park tickets and your child is still 2 on your check-in day, they are free the entire time. That's the policy. Now, if you booked your park tickets and hotel stay separately for some reason, that's a different story.
