It has been a few years since we have traveled to Disney with a baby. We will have a 3 month old with us next week. Do they still allow a child swap option at the major rides?

Thanks!

Yes they do still offer it, just see the gretter to find out what you need to do. Some of the fastpass attractions will give you a rider switch card (which works like a fastpass) so that you can go on (with 2 other people from your group) after the first part of the party waits the que and rides. Others just bring you through to the front... Just ask the gretters and they will help you with the specifc ride in question :)

Just got back yesterday and used the child swap many times on SM and BTM. Just ask the CM at the fast pass entrance AFTER the first person rides.

Me too, but one time I thought they'd messed up.

On TOT we tried to swap both of our girls. When we got off of the ride, we couldn't find them anywhere. I was starting to really panic (guess I really wanted the same ones back after all) when I noticed someone standing really close in front of me.

I looked down and both of my girls were dressed in costumes that the TOT cast members wear. The whole time they'd both been trying to get my attention and I was looking right over them.

It was really cute and has always been one of our favorite WDW memories.

We used kid swap a lot in October. (I got the same ones back, too. :confused3 ) FYI - kid swap is only available on rides with height restrictions. Case in point: HM at MK. No height restriction. DD8 DID NOT want to go on this ride. Found out way too late that this is a NON-kid swap ride. DD was hysterical thinking she had to go on ride. CM was not helpful. By the time we got to the line for the doombuggies, she was sobbing uncontrollably. I kept telling her I was sorry, just close your eyes. Others were looking at me like I was the bad mom making her go on this ride. Luckily, a janitor/sweep happened to be standing at the end of the line. "Is there ANYWAY to get out of here?" I asked. He was so great. :flower: Saw how upset she was & lead us out a few side doors. She was in daylight before she knew it. (I'm getting flustered just remembering the whole thing.) Moral of the story - check before you get into the ride area.
