I'm days away from my Fast Pass booking day and am making final plans. I've been trying to decipher Child Swap combined with FP and I think I MOSTLY get it. For those that want to skip to answering my actual question, it is:
When Adult #1 and Kid use their FP, they can get a Child Swap pass for Adult #2 (standing with Toddler). Adult #2 does not have FP for that ride. Do Adult #2 and Kid enter the ride through the FP lane when using the Swap pass later?
From what I've read, it sounds like only one adult (and the Kid) needs to book a FP for a ride and then the 2nd adult can still take advantage of using the FP lane. Is that right? Here's an example of how I'd like to use this scenario, if I'm correct in my understanding:
Adults 1 & 2 = A1, A2
7 year old Kid that is tall enough for rides = K
3 year old tiny Toddler = T
10 AM: A1 and K FP Mine Train
All 4 of us show up, A1 requests Child Swap based on A2 standing there with T
A1 & K ride Mine Train through the FP line
A2 & T ride Pooh or something near by, maybe with a FP
LATER (that day, or a following day)
A2 & K bring Swap pass to Mine Train and ride through the FP line
The reality is most rides we're going to want to ride as a family whenever possible. So it's not like I can use A2 & T FP to book something popular for all 4 of us later. K is ALWAYS going to have to have a FP reserved to join the rest of us. I guess A2 & T could book FP for rides that probably wouldn't otherwise need it, just to get through queues faster?
I guess I still need to know about utilizing the FP lane. Because if the Swap can't use the FP lane because that Adult didn't originally have a FP, I'm not going plan for the second ride using the longer Standby lane. If I need to, I'll FP Mine Train for 2 different days so the 2nd adult can bypass a long queue (from the example above.)
Gosh this is confusing! I'm not convinced anyone is going to be able to translate what the heck I'm even asking and I've reread this at least 3 times!
