Child Swap and Express Pass for One Parent?

Hello Universal experts!! We (myself, my husband, and our one-year-old) are looking into a few days at Universal in February. We will need to do child swap for all the big kid rides. My question is, do we both need Express Pass, or can I get Express Pass, ride, and use child swap so my husband can ride? We did this at Disneyland Paris a few weeks back, where I purchased a Premier Access for certain rides for myself and we did child swap without having to pay extra for my husband. Since it's our first time to Universal, I'm not sure I want to pay $2000 for two nights at a Signature resort with tickets and Express Pass if we don't actually need Express Pass for our visit. May I ask where you get the price of $2000 for the Premier Resort?
Express Pass comes with the premier resort for free, so you are just paying for the hotel and regular tickets.
I've never seen pricing for tickets and the premier resort $2K for two nights.

When I priced it out yesterday on the Universal Florida website it was $2000 for two nights in late February at Royal Pacific inclusive of two day two park tickets for two adults (and the express pass). Perhaps I did something wrong in putting the package together, because later that night I found the same hotel in the Chase Travel portal for $1000 for the same two nights, and the tickets standalone were <$700.

Regardless, my question still stands about Express Pass usage for one adult plus child swap! Thanks very much!

I believe that Universal child swap works differently - everyone waits in the line (EP or standby), then near the loading area there is a "child swap room" where the non-rider waits with their supervising party member. When the first riders gets off the ride, they switch. So your method will not work for Universal.

I agree with @wendlle to just look at pricing things individually rather than trying to do a package.

You will both need express pass to use the express pass line. As stated above universal does child swap different and you will all enter the queue and then at the end there will be a room that the one child and parent wait in then swap.
