personally i find them hysterical, i laugh everytime i see them on a kid, but then again i dont really like children so maybe that why....well i dont want to sound like mean person i just get annoyed with out of control kids which is why i laugh when i see them on leashes b/c then they cant bother me!

a kid is not a dog.
they're a human being, if you can't control your kid, leave them at home.

I personally think they're wrong.

If you can't control them, don't have children.

i understand why they would have them...(i used to have one for my wrist because i was prone to wander.) but i'm not sure of what to think of them.

i realize it is so the kid doesn't run off, but if the kid runs off. disciplining is needed. by discipling i don't mean abuse, i think a firm spanking and a loss of privledges will do. Then maybe the child will learn and hang around when the family goes out. but i also realize that it is a bit degrading
i think they are needed because some kids even tho they are disciplined don't get it, but then there are the parents who are softies and do diddly-squat to their child. but i understand if you are going to a crowded place it could come in handy

so i could pretty much go either way right now..

I think they are a bit wrong,but,if they can keep the kid from being lost,their o.k. I had to suffer with one when I was younger,but my mom did it so I wouldn't get lost in DW.It would be horrible if a kid got lost in there with all of those people swarming.....
I didn't like them,still don't,but they have a purpose.

In Walt Disney world its understandable we still have pictures of my cousin w/hers on b/c she would wander off. I was the scared little kid. I never wandered

Well I can't find my post on it, so I'll do a short, condensed version of what I said...

They are ridiculous, and completely unessesary. If you need a leash to control your kids, you shouldn't have had kids in the first place.

I used to have one, I don't ever remember it being used. I remember putting it on my stuffed animals (mainly dogs) and dragging them around.
I asked my mother if she approved of leashes, and she said yes. I don't share the same beliefs though.

Over here they are quite normal. Taking younger kids out for walks over here can be really dangerous with the traffic. I only really approve of the wrist ones though, not of the ones that you put round a kids chest.

I used to have one. A little pink wrist one. Saved me quite a few times if i remember correctly

Ive seen some horrible kids, that throw fits and run around restraunts, and movies. It ruins my dinner, or movie to have to listen to parents trying to get their kids together.
I think people should behave their children so they dont need a child leash.
But they are funny

oh I remember the leashes...
My parents made me and my sister (I was 4, she was 7) wear them our first time to WDW.
and now we never let them live it down that they put their own kids on leashes.

I personally hate them. I mean, the parents that I've seen with them treat their kids cruely. The are literally draggin their 4 year olds around. That's how little they care for their kids. One little kid tripped with a leash and their dad kept pulling them without looking and when he did, the kid's face was all ripped up. It was disgusting. they called a paramedic 5 minutes after I did.

I've heard of those! They are pretty good for a kid who is really wild and can't stand still but it can be pretty wrong because humans aren't dogs. I think it's a little funny though!

they are ok if your going to a place really crowded, or you have a really misbehaving kid!!
