Chicks and Roosters...part 2

Good morning all
Happy Easter!

Tricia, enjoy the weekend with your big family. What's a crawfish boil?
We have 2-3 malls within 15 minutes of where I live.
One I call a bigginner-mall. It's small so it's perfect for when they first start going with their friends.
Another oned is so huge I don't even go much.

Susan, I hope you got some books super cheap.
I admit I don't read:sad2: but my older DD got some books for 25 & 50 cents at the library last month.

Tricia, enjoy the weekend with your big family. What's a crawfish boil?

Joanne I forget everyone isn't from the South. :rotfl: Crawfish look like small lobsters that you boil in a big pot outside. You boil them with onions, garlic, corn on the cob, sausage, lemons, potatoes and lots of spices. You dump them on a table and everyone stands around and enjoys. I think I have a picture that I'll post.

ETA~I haven't uploaded my pictures yet but I'll post when I do.

I knew it was something Southern. ;)I've never heard of anyone doing that here. It sounds good!

It's nice that your weather is warm enough to eat outside. :thumbsup2

Good morning!

Happy Easter a day late. I barely touched the computer all weekend. Just one thing after another.

My dad is doing good. Thanks for asking. He passed the stone and is back to his old self.

We had a big brunch for Easter yesterday. There were only 5 of us but we had enough food for 10. It was nice and quiet. I even managed to squeeze in time for a nap yesterday afternoon!

Good morning ladies.

Kendall has a dentist appointment this morning then we'll be heading to the mall after that. We have 41 days until Disney and she's in need of shorts. All the schools around here are off for spring break so I'm sure the mall will be crazy. :scared:

Good morning all

Susan, glad to hear your dad is okay.

Tricia, have fun shopping! Can't have much fun at the dentist.

Good morning!

Oh, I wish we had a good mall. The only mall around is practically empty. We're losing another department store too.

I agree about the malls Susan. We don't have an inside mall in my area just lots of strip malls. The mall we went to yesterday is about an 50 minutes away and does have lots a great stores. Every now and then I just need to get my fix.

Good morning!

Where have all the good malls gone? I'd drive 50 miles for a good one too. I think I'd have to drive about three hours.

I wish I had something exciting to do today. Besides work that is. It's a pretty day out there. We had incredible winds yesterday, knocked out power all over the county. Today it's still. It's a little on the cold side but that's all right.

Good morning all

They've blocked alot of sites we can get into. I'm waiting one morning for this one too. They won't let us have fun anymore. :sad2:

Susan, there are plenty of malls, the drawback is you have to live in New York/Long Island. :rotfl:

Yesterday we hit another mall about 25 minutes away in another direction. I'm trying to take advantage of my kids being off this week and trying things on so I'm not going crazy returning things next week. We leave for Disney next month and all the summer stuff from last year isn't fitting. If kids would only stop growing. Today we are going to a few stores here in my area then I think I'm done. Oh and Joanne I ordered something for Kendall online yesterday at Kohls. I always think of you when I'm on their website or see a Kohls commercial.

We are supposed to be getting a Kohls but I haven't seen it yet. Next time I move, I'll base it on the nearest mall!

I hope they don't block you Joann! Can't you tell them it's research? For something? Ha! I can talk business, just tell me what you need me to talk about.

Susan do you have any thoughts about moving?

Joanne I hope they don't block you. :sad1: If they do you'll have to check on a daily basis to see if they slip up like they sometimes do with Grimley.

Today's my kids last day of Spring Break. This week really seemed to fly by.

Morning!

No, no thoughts of moving. I'm good where I am right now.

It's a beautiful day here and it should be a nice weekend. Tomorrow morning I'm hitting another library book sale and then taking Daisy to school in the afternoon. In between I need to clean out my closet and re-organize my bathroom cupboards. I'm not sure what happens to my nicely stacked towels and stuff. Nothing stays organized.

Good Morning and I hope you had a great weekend.

My kids go back to school today. Spring Break went by really fast but summer starts in just 35 days so the school year is almost over.

Susan did you get to the closets this weekend. I always have such good intentions but then something always comes up and I never get to it. :confused3

Joanne how's the weather by you? On another thread I post on they are getting snow today. Although that is in Michigan I still can't believe people still get snow in April.

We've been quite spring like for about two months now. By May we are down right hot. Got to enjoy it while we can.

Monday already? Good morning anyway!

Um closets? Um. . . no. I didn't. I thought if I put it out there by typing my intentions, I'd get it done but I didn't. Oops. I'm not sure where the weekend went! Saturday seemed to fill up quickly and yesterday was sooooo hot that physically moving was out of the question. I ended up putting stuff on e-bay. I suppose that's one way to clean out the closets!

Heat wave!

Yesterday was 99 degrees and today it's currently 94 (at 10:40 am!). I'm not happy about the heat. Tomorrow it's supposed to be 70 so that's good.

I hope you are all enjoying your Tuesday!

Wow Susan that sure is hot and it's way too early for that high temps. I thought your area was always nice, around 70`ish and breezy. What happened? We are in the 80's today but the humidity isn't to high yet so it still feels ok outside.

Morning. :wave2:

Yesterday Colin's class had a field trip (which we skipped) and he and I went to the movies. We saw Monsters vs. Aliens. I thought is was just ok and he wasn't exactly thrilled with the movie either. Maybe because the movie in some areas is in 3D and you get to wear the cool glasses. Our theater was 2D so no glasses for us. I think maybe that took away from the coolness factor. :confused3

Good morning

sorry I haven't been around. Sometimes Some people got moved around and now my computer is out for more to see, which means I can't go on as much.

Susan 99 degrees and it's only April!! :scared1:

Tricia, you cut school yesterday? I'm telling?? :rolleyes1

:rotfl: I hope you had fun!!
