Anyone home? The house is quiet. Kelsie, Colin and Mark all went to bed to try and sleep. Kendall is at her best friends birthday party and I have to pick her up at 10:00. That means I might get four hours of sleep but I'm not counting on it.

Dress shopping--how fun! I don't plan on getting too far from the house today. As a matter of fact, I don't plan on getting too far from this laptop! I'm having a lazy day. Which actually isn't too uncommon for me!
I'm kicking around some ideas for our summer vacation. this is the non-Disney trip

. My original plan was just a quick trip to the beach. Maybe 5 days. I don't want to spend much at all. But I'm already bored with the beach idea, so I'm trying to think of something else. I thought maybe I can pull off a short cruise--maybe 4 or 5 days. I'm thinking just 4 or 5 cause I want to stick with my original budget--around $1500 for the three of us. Is that do-able? Any thoughts? Susan, you awake yet? Any professional input?

Morning all. Thanks for the greeting Muffy. You did good! I really want to go skulk around Borders for a while, but I'm not sure what things will pop up to take up my day. Right now I'm content with my coffee and my laptop but that wont last.

Arkie, I'm going to send you a PM with a few suggestions to look into. I think you can do a shorter cruise (not Disney of course). Look for a pm.

I hate it when they move the smilies. Makes me grumpy. I've got to get up and get dressed soon but I'm so enjoying being in my robe and cuddled under a blanket. I'll watch some of the Super Bowl but it's not going to take over my day.

I'm going dishwasher shopping with DH.
I'm so exciiiiiited!!! No. Really, I am. I hate my dishwasher. I told Will if we pay a few hundred extra dollars, maybe we can find one that unloads itself so he won't have to do it anymore.

And, yay DH! He told me to go ahead a book a cruise! So now I'm no longer just hoping to be able to talk him into it. I'm actually going! And I really didn't even have to do much talking at all. Unlike a WDW vacay, he was very receptive. Hmmm. All these years, I've been struggling with trying to get him to want to go to WDW. I thought he just didn't want to go on vacation. Nope. Turns out he really just hates Disney that much. Sad really. Now I gotta go find me a cruise ticker!

Nothing like hurling through space on a full stomach at 9 in the morning! Don't forget to grab a fastpass for Splash before you head over to Tomorrowland, Tricia!

Good morning.
It's a late morning for us. Will was up with a migraine last night, so I let him sleep in this morning--as did I! Now I'm trying to decide if I should take him to school.

Muffy, you didn't over-do it on the Super Bowl celebrating did you? How nice that your co-workers knew they could slack off and wonderful people like you would cover for them! I'm with Susan. I half watched the game while DH had it on. I just caught glimpses as I passed through and stopped to see what was happening. I'm such a dork. The whole time I was checking in, until the last 10 minutes of the game when I actually sat down and watched, I had the teams mixed up. I was thinking the guys with the nice blue shirts were the giants. And the mixed up uniforms that didn't match were the Patriots. I felt so stupid.

Also Muffster, it looks like I might be cruising on June 7 from Mobile to Progresso and Cozumel. I've NEVER wanted to go to Mexico (those are in Mexico, aren't they?) but I don't mind spending a couple of afternoons there. We're all very excited. I don't remember the last time all three of us went on a vacaton together! So, where do you get those cool countdown tickers?

Good morning! Happy Mardi Gras! Happy Election Day (for some of us)! Anything else to celebrate?

I threw my back out this morning. Now you would think it would be while lifting a heavy object or something exciting like that. No, not me. I threw it out while drying off after a shower. One wrong twist and ouch! At this point it's not too bad, I've had worse, and I'm hoping that it will work itself out quickly.

Lori, the cruise sounds great! I've only been to Mexico on a cruise and while it wasn't my favorite place, it wasn't too bad. Cozumel is supposed to be wonderful, so I'm sure you'll enjoy it. I'd go back.

American Idol comes on tonight! I think. Don't you hate how you never know what's coming on when. Used to be you always knew when your favorite shows were coming on. Every Tuesday was Happy Days then Laverne and Shirley. Every Wednesday was Facts of Life. Every Saturday was Love Boat and Fantasy Island. I miss Love Boat!

You crack me up Lori! I miss Love Boat too. Have they released it on DVD? I'd totally rent them. Congrats on the plumber coming. I'm currently planning my strict lent diet that starts tomorrow. I'm not cutting anything out, I'm just counting calories. That worked before, it's just hard to keep up with it. I saw a new pic of my bff and saw how good she looked and it inspired me. She told me she was walking 4 miles a day on the treadmill which puts me to serious shame.

Oh and Idol is on tonight with more auditions. I'm ready to move on to the Hollywood rounds though.
