Hi campers!
I have a couple of questions about the family style chicken takeout dinner from Crockets a Tavern.
1. Do they provide forks, plates napkins?
2. Is there a picnic table for my family to use?
I have been trying to find the answers to these questions for a while a thought those on this forum might know.
Thanks!

Hi julylady.

they will provide disposable plates and silver ware if you need it. There are picnic tables on the side porch to sit and eat at if needed.

Btw the "bar" at the Fort is Crocketts Tavern. The restaurant is called Trails End. The takeout dinner you are referring to from TE is the GAG (Giddy up And Go) a 10 piece chicken dinner with two side dishes and corn bread or buns. Its $25 and should easily feed a family of 4. All white meat pieces are $1-2 more.

they also sell a similar dinner for one person called The Lone Rider for about $10.

when you get to Pioneer Hall there are some double doors in the middle of the building where you can place your order. To the far left are the bathrooms and the Hoop Dee Doo Review dinner show and to the right is the TE sit down entrance and Crocketts Tavern in the corner nearest the beach.

the GAG is a good deal.

PS - I found the takeout menu in my files. See the middle of the page.

I believe you can get plastic flatware and napkins but probably not paper plates but you can ask. There are a couple of small picnic tables near crocketts and you may be able to find one a larger one at an empty campsite.

I have gotten the chicken take out to take back to the RV but never tried to eat "picnic-style".

The answer to both your questions is yes. We've ordered it, got plastic utensils and disposable plates and ate it right there on a table on TE porch. There are only a couple picnic tables so depending on what time you go you may not get one. There are also tables on the beach by the marina.

Julylady,,let me take that Giddy Up Go Chicken to one more step,,,save somma the fried chicken skin,,it makes great fish'n bait,,,you can rent fish poles at the Bike Barn for a couple bucks.

I make my wife give up her chicken skin cause I havta eat mine,,

I will put in a plug for the mashed potatoes and mac and cheese as the sides. I had those with my individual meal earlier this month when we were there for the sleigh ride, and both of those were fantastic!
