just gonna quote myself from my previous post...JHey is hitting the ball HARD....he is right on the verge, guess the sprained finger is all healed! WAY TO GO JHEY! KYLE!My GOODNESS! The Bud Board was shuddering thinking it was gonna get pummeled again, lol...3 years since a ball has hit Sheffield..BAM BAM showed Cueto who's boss! Riz, the smile on your face after your bomb, was a welcome sight, for sure. I was hoping Lester would've gotten the 11th K on Arroyo, 'cause he'd never let Big John forget it, since Big John got 10K's in CO. . Willy's pick off was a HUGE play..right up there with the home runs in my book. Guys looked relaxed, in control and sort of "Come at Me Bro" tonight..I like it.
Given the weather around here, my W choice for tonight

And David beat Normani. But not Rashad.

Could not be happier for them on how great he did~Rossy beat 11 other contestants, all with having ZERO dance experience and having ajammed schedule that includes a newly released book reaching the NYT Bestseller list and becoming an ESPN announcer..AND repping the Cubs with total class?

I just got back from the game. A couple of thoughts ..

* SchwarBOMB! The *sound* of the ball coming off the bat was amazing! As I was seeing it fly out of the infield I said, "Oh, that is so gone." It's been a long time since I saw a ball get hit out to Sheffield.
* What an incredibly quick game! I can't remember when I have been at such a short game. I suspect both teams were told: "There is rain nearby. No dilly dallying!" It totally fit my mood.
* Rizzo and JHey homers ... oh yeah!
* The bullpen totally cracks me up by dancing after homers.
* Mystery Ball -- The Cubs Players' wives and girlfriends were selling signed balls in unmarked boxes for the Cubs Care charity. I got Game 7 Saver (what is the term for that?) Mike Montgomery (sorry @Pacolovestacos). His GF was there and took a picture with me. So much fun! I picked a box with rain on it and when I got Montgomery I told his GF, "See? Rain Delay!". I'm happy.
* John *freaking* Lester threw a complete game with TEN strike outs (including the last 3 in the 9th inning) and allowed only one run. It was the best pitched game I've seen all year.
* 4 hours there, two 1/2 hours home and spending the game with someone from one of my facebook Cubs groups ... worth it!

and no walks for Lester either! LOVE that all of that happened during a Nationally televised game when many more Cub fans could see it STL lost in 13 AGAIN...3rd 13 inning game in a week~ and the game cancelling boo-hoo Brew Crew lost too (There's a rhyme for ya, lol) We are 1.5 out of first, tied w STL. Cubs the only NLCS team with a W last night, lets get the same result tonight!Might have to send you RIGHT back to Wrigley, Robin, lol.

Joe shuffling the deck again Zobie /Schwarb's get some rest and we get the infield (and very well could be OF) defensive wall of wonder again! I am hoping for a Hendricks pick off tonight..LOVE IT when he gets one! Miggy finally getting some playing time Hoping the bats stay hot!

Addie scalded the ball &Miggy with the clutch double.and heads up chugging to score.Javy great at bats tonight and the JHey/Jay Insurance co. Making sure Kyle gets his well deserved W.Great game by Kyle..Love what I'm seeing W

Yeah, that call has always been screwy. The runner is supposed to stay in the lane in foul territory, but the bag is fair territory. Talk about an idiotic rule. Also, if you look at where the ball hit him, it was his leg as he was hitting the bag so the interference call is BOGUS. (take first and last letter of that word --- it's that too!)

Happy to here we got the W!!! Speaking of Happ...he seems to be struggling a bit the last two games. Come on Happ, we want to see the hair on fire you again!!!
